So, how about 4 players Alien Swarm co-op with whoever owns UT2004? Because of the new Alien Swarm topic, I REALLY want to play it again.
Just install UT2k4, download the mod, install, and let's play about 17:30 GMT today, what do you people say?
don't really feel like reinstalling UT2004 but how about on monday we get some coop going as soon as we've downloaded the new version?

Same. Count me in as a potential for the Source version, but I can't be arsed to install 2k4 :p
Yeah definitely interested in the Source version. Installing and learning the UT 2004 version when the source version is merely days away seems like too much effort now.
YAY there's our team

Team fall back!
gogdamnit and now I'll have to buy the source version because of you guys. Thanks a bunch
edit: it's ... Free!? They always said it's going to be commercial! Now I agree it's useless to reinstall UT2k4!

Apparently Valve bought Black Cat at some point when I had long since stopped looking because it was obvious the Source version would never be completed :P

The progression of thought in this post amused me.
Damn, I have to pay for it.
It's free!?
I could practically see a shot of clouds clearing to reveal a rainbow and birds happily chirping away.
I'm up fr some Source butt kicking action!

You are forgetting the very important factor here, the second they were bought by Valve all work translated to Valve time. You have to use the Valve time scale which is about right for the release.

They were on Modder Time even before that. Valve Time is an improvement on Modder Time. With Valve Time, you know you are going to get something, eventually. With Modder Time, you are quite likely never going to get anything :p

Example: Black Mesa Source.
Well it's released. Kind of. Steam servers seem to have been killed by the demand.

Now my question is whether Valve will pick up NightBlade as well...
Wow. Steam is getting hammered. Almost as bad as a TF2 Free Weekend :p
