Is the Steam key supposed to work?

I redeemed the game, but it doesn't seem to download anything. Spends about 1 second downloading then indicates it is finished.

When I try to start the game I just get "missing executable".

SLP2000: I'll wait with redeeming my copy, maybe I'll be able to get it on GOG.
A GOG key would be my preference, as well. You're right, waiting a bit might pay off.
Haven't tried redeeming anything in this case, but I'd say wait about two hours-that's when Steam usually updates with its new releases for the day. They might not have hit "go" on Larry yet.

Also in the update the backers got it said it won't be available on Steam until 10am pdt. Apparently Valve wants someone in the office when a game goes live.
Wonderful glad to see a kickstarter game release
Was thinking about buying it on Replays' site. Unfortunately you need to select which version you want (Mac, Windows, Linux). I was planning on playing with my Mac laptop, but it might be too slow in which case I'll use my PC desktop. Or I might play on my Ipad (which I'll likely replace with an Android device). The kickstarter page says there will be versions for all four devices, so it feels silly that I would need to pay again for each device.

At least with Steam I'd get both a PC and Mac version. I don't really like steam though, the client doesn't seem to work too well.

Oy, it's a one platform per purchase deal?

What is this, the 1990s? :\
Can't be sure. The Kickstarter project listed the versions that would be available, but it didn't specify if you received them all (which is a reason I didn't participate). At Replays if I added both a Mac and PC version to my shopping basked it would double the price. I'd assume they would only have one version to buy if all three were included in the purchase. Hopefully someone else chimes in.
Well as a backer I have access on DRM free versions for Linux, MAC and Windows versions as well as Steam access to game.
Okay, Steam finally updated the game, so I guess the problem was on their end. I'm now playing. Achievements are also working seemingly although Steam doesn't list them yet. I just got an achievement for getting pissed on by the dog.

Game looks awesome. I'm marking this as a raging success boner in my Kickstarter notebook.

Josh_Mandel: Thank you, Timelord!

Yes, it's a choice between Steam and Replay's own DRM-free downloads. I don't know when GOG will have us or what the DRM choice (if any) will be here.

DProject, I'm glad you found the subtitles! You know, we had a LOT of discussion in the past couple of weeks between defaulting to subtitles on or off. Many people (especially at N-Fusion) felt that we should default to having them on, as that's a much more traditional way to handle it and they felt the game looked...I dunno, too naked?...without them. Al and I both felt pretty strongly that the subtitles should default to "off" so that you got to *hear* the jokes instead of reading them.

Now that Larry is finally released on GOG, will I be able, as a backer, to receive GOG key?
