By the way, a quick question regarding trading and morale.
Now that I have the DRM-free version downloaded, installed and tried to see it actually works, would you consider unethical to trade away the Steam key? I don't theoretically need it anymore, but do you guys feel everything that was included with the purchase, should only be for my personal use?

If the popular opinion is that it's wrong to trade these things especially since I already downloaded the DRM-free version, then I will save the key for myself. But if the majority feels that everyone's entitled to do whatever they want with their goods, I might try and see if I could get another game for it; perhaps something like the new Tomb Raider or Bioshock Infinite once their price drops to the same level as Larry's (which, judging by the price they have in their store, is $19.99).

Personally I think that's uncool. I think the devs only intended to give one copy, but I don't think its black and white. I don't do it, but that's just me.
Gotta say, this remake was totally worth the wait. It looks good, sounds good and a lot of the jokes and puzzles are new. This really redeems Larry after THOSE games.
I have to say, remaking adventure games seems rather redundant to me, unless the player happens to be suffering dementia or acute memory loss. Because anyone who has played the original game would remember the solutions to all the puzzles, and be able to finish the game very quickly.

Many of the puzzles have completely new solutions, and there are several completely new ones as well (many relating to the new girl, Jasmine).

There are certainly parts where knowledge of the old games will be helpful, but there's plenty of new stuff as well, so you won't be breezing quite so easily through the game.

That's why this is much more than a simple repaint, they've reworked some of the classic stuff, added new content, an additional babe, and tons of descriptions and various writing from Mandel (that's what got me most interested, he called it "rewarding exploration", by adding unique/humorous responses to the various actions & item combinations a player might come up with, and there's really a lot of that).

I don't have dementia or acute memory loss, but I have pretty bad memory, and any game that's over 10 years old I probably remember a very small part of it. So I tend to quite enjoy remakes.

There's actually so many new puzzles, that I am stuck at the moment, depiste I can play the original through by heart.
Happy to pass along a hint or two if you need one!

Fair enough, I might check it out. Do you know if it's coming to GOG?

Hiya, MoP! :-D

Also greetings from my side ;-) So developers found the thread, that's very suspicious... Maybe we see the release today together with a special old white-suites promo?

I agree, although I would've liked optional subtitles. Though I understand spoken English quite well, still not well enough to not miss some of the jokes/lines.
