Bumping to say I pre-ordered through PayPal, am waiting on my downloads and I am psyched. Reminds me a bit of M&B crossed with King's Bounty or HoMM.

There's a lot still missing from the beta right now, so it's hard to say just how good the game will be in the end.
As it is now, it's interesting, but flawed.

Hows the combat? The videos I saw looked a bit iffy, that was actually what put me off backing.
It's definitely an intriguing looking game. I think I'm going to hold off until I hear about the finished product, but color me interested for sure.

The combat is rather like King's Bounty, except on a much-smaller grid, and all units gain xp, not just your hero.

You can have a small number of units (up to 6 at the beginning, it gets higher the more castles you own apparently).
The combat is turn-based and units act in the same order each turn according to their initiative stat.
The only weird thing about it is that melee units have to attack the closest unit, and you can't move without attacking.

Apart from that, right now there are 3 main classes of units (melee, ranged and healer) each of which has 2 upgrade paths. That's not counting unique units like your main character and his companion.

Anyway, a lot of the game is still unfinished, and most of it could still change I guess, since the game is in beta and the devs are still taking feedback.

This looks so good. There's been such a lack of turn-based games by the AAA devs so I'm glad the indie/small devs are picking up the slack.
