i don't have any opinion about this game at all, yet. I certainly expect that even a cheap game doesn't get released full of bugs that make it unplayable, but as I said, that might be something that's quickly solved. As for the game itself, I haven't yet played it (it's rather a large download for me, so I'd rather wait until it's in its finished shape, whatever that may be), and nobody seems to be reviewing it, so I don't have any idea. At the moment, I'm playing Geneforge 1 and putting up with nonsense that I'd never put up with in a AAA game; when I do play Legends of Dawn, it will be with the same attitude.

Finally got around to download it off steam (got jack waiting for drm free to show up via humble store).
7.20GB total install size . around 4gb download.
Launching via steam the intro, runs but game wont run after the intro finishes (opens in a window). Close off game window.
Tried launching outside of steam. Surprised game seems to run without Steam launching
Char creation made up of selecting head and hairstyles - humans have a reasonable selection, elves stuck with all hair styles with some form of baldness including the females...weird. Can change colours of hair and skin. And thats it.No body size change etc.
Random stats or manually add.
Pretty much it for char customization
Options for video is very basic. Nothing for AA or the like. has stuff for shadow, grass (yes!) etc.
In game proper awsd controls movement. Camera usage is awkward . Have only played for a hour or so and its mostly collecting stuff from crates at the start area. Will report back once i get into combat and playing proper....
Oh yeah there is a reasonable PDF manual, but some stuff doesnt work as described (pre patching) - rotating camera with keys didnt work. Game just got patched on Steam so will need to see i guess how its improved lol

yeah , after reading the dev game forum , there are too many bugs left.... :(

Looks good , if they manage to fix all the majors issues left.

I only played around with it for a few hours, didnt get too far. Only 'bug' i encountered was initially launching it, and getting the intro which opened in a window and it wouldnt launch the game itself at the end lol. Launching it from the .exe directly launched fine.
I guess it will eventually be fixed and released here. This game looks very ambitious.

I hope the devs are able to optimize the game CPU usage for a GOG release. I don't want to cook my poor laptop. The game does look promising.
