Of course they will. I was referring to Donkey Raw Meat, I mean why wasting useful resources, not to mention good companion animals like donkeys when rats are abundant?

Or do you mean "There are no stupid questions, there are only stupid people" ;) ?
There are plenty of stupid questions. And plenty of people who don't have much common sense either. It can be couched in as much PC language as people want, but it still doesn't make it true :)
LOL. No, I didn't. I just responded as it was on the top of the Community topics.
For all we know, the guy broke up with her by now :)

But, I teach ESL, so I hope when it happens that it's just a language or culture difference.

If you as a teacher get "stupid" questions, it means you failed at some point communicating what the student needed to know and you need to use a different approach. "Stupid" questions means they did not get it and needs help. Therefore there are no "Stupid" questions, especially as a teacher.

Thats your view. My view is that such an attitude is one of the ways to kill a learning process. For some the only way to learn is to vocalise all ideas and communicating is part of how information gets internalised into understanding (as opposed to just memorising). In this process you will have "stupid" questions as information gets shifted around (some calls it meaning schemes...). To diminish this process in a learner will only make sure they do not approach you again next time they get stuck, and actually working against their own learning process.
Secondly - I much more admire people who dare ask "stupid" questions to learn something new or gain new understanding, then those who pretend not to have any to look "cool" and bumbles along blindly. The attitude that there are questions which can be asked and some who can't is in my opinion just leading to the latter and it is not healthy at all. It is better that the student asked this question and got confirmation, then being in doubt whether people in England do speak French, I prefer the first over the later any time. For the OP in this case, better safe then sorry is a good policy and it do not deserve ridicule. Just go and see how many of the Abandonware sites out there who claims to be legit. I understand his question.
Thirdly - "Stupid" questions is only stupid in relation to the audience. Everybody at some point will ask "stupid" questions. I ask "stupid" questions all the time when it is something new or something I do not understand. If the listener is an expert they can appear very stupid in deed. However, I prefer it if the questions get answered in proper fashion, and not being condescending or diminishing.
Fourthly - as a teacher "stupid" questions should be taken seriously and used as an indication on how the classes are going. If you get many of them, then there are something wrong and it needs readdressing. However, if the students no longer dare ask them, then this tool is gone out of the window.

A lot of abandonware sites (illegally) host old games. She runs across a site selling these exact same games, and wonders if it's legit. It's a little silly, but let's not blow it out of proportion.
