Spinorial: Yep. And in case you have problems with the videos, there are tools to convert them here:
http://www.nosgothica.org/index.php?id=files_eng
This can take a while, so you might just download the converted files (also available there).
This thread got me wanting to play this game something awful. I installed it using the CubanRaul patch and then the video patch, but the videos are flashing all kinds of crazy. I'm sure it's a simple fix. I'd hate to miss all the cinematics on this one.

I've been playing it without any video help and just bypassing the videos. The main START screen is jittery but that goes away as soon as I start playing.

Same as tinyE said. Try it first without the video fix. If it fails, try downloading the big patch, the conversion patch may give errors.

Ah, reinstalling and using the big patch did the trick. This will be good fun. Thanks!

What big patch?

You mean the CR one? Is there another one?

On this page. Look for the 293mb "Bink-support for BO1 (Video-Patch)"

XD I never would have found that without your help. That page is just a tad confusing. Thank You.

I'm curious: do you also get different colouring for the bink and un-altered videos?

I didn't notice. The blood dripping script at the beginning had been corrected though; it used to be that screwed up mishmash of color common to older games unless you turned off Explorer, but now it's fine.

Not that. I had the effect that the originals looked like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwS_GbMo99Y
while the binks looked like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rq8XPVE9w-E

I get the 2nd one. Unfortunately I never looked at the original so I really can't compare.
