Crash Course DLC is now on Steam. It's free for owners of the game. And speaking of owning it, it's half-off for a bit. $15. If you don't own it, I suggest you get it, and if you live in another country where you have to deal with the bullshit not-America mark-up, I might be able to work something out, like I did with sheepdragon when he wanted Dawn of War II when that was on sale.
Considering the sequel is out in like 2 months, I would suggest holding out till then. Gonna see how this new DLC fairs, was kinda disappointed at the lack of additions.

Steam is bad, mmk?
While I don't see a point in denouncing everything on Steam and/or published by Valve I will say that even at $15 it is fairly pointless to buy L4D when the sequel will be out in six weeks.
Regarding the DLC I have to say I'm underwhelmed. It took them nearly a year to deliver something that isn't much better than (and arguably worse than some) fan made maps. It's obvious they dropped support for it because of the sequel especially when you compare it to the amount of support TF2 gets two+ years on.
How is it pointless to buy a game for cheap when its sequel is coming out? Would you refuse to buy the original Fallout because Fallout 2 was coming out in a few weeks?
Most people don't even play a game for six weeks before abandoning it - and people will still be playing L4D even when L4D2 comes out, especially considering the fact that there are people boycotting L4D2.
I can't find the download on steam anywhere....

L4D isn't exactly a bad game but L4D2 seems to have more content and overall looks like a better game.

There was no reason for Valve to start producing L4D2 when they haven't even finished the first one.
Crash Course was a bit disappointing, and a bit satisfying. It's definitely hard to believe that they spent this much time making it, though.
There's no good excuse as to why it took so long to come out, but it's good. The individual maps are slightly longer and less linear than the other campaigns, and the crescendo events are much better than the others.
I actually like that it's shorter. It allows my girlfriend and me to get in a full game in half the time.
Also, having two less maps doesn't seem to cut down the zombie kill count. Still getting well over 1,000 on normal(haven't played harder yet).

Are you going to whine about Steam in every single Steam/Valve/digital distribution related thread?
