I think there is time for an open letter for IKEA.

It is time that we do something. Bragging in forums against IKEA doesn't do anything. Please share your ideas and state that you if you are in.

- We will build a web site.

- We will declare a manifesto. An open letter to companies.

- We will loud our voice via Facebook, Twitter and furniture forums.

- We will inform interior decorators about IKEA and wonderful wooden furniture.

I don't know how popular Ikea is in Britain, but it is insanely popular here. That has lead to a funny joke.

Let me tell you a little story.

Right now I am sitting in the living room, next to my better half. We are watching "The Mentalist" on TV, and I am also playing Skyrim on my laptop. I started it up with NMM, running it thorough Skyrim Extended Script something. Steam is running in the background, offline mode, I do not notice it and it hardly take any resources. I really enjoy the slow play of a stealth archer sneaking through a dungeon while watching TV. I feel happy and content (the glass of red vine helps also.)

I have absolutely no problems, everything is running smoothly. I have not had any problems since I got Halflife 2 eight years ago. And I belong to the majority of players of today.

However, after this thread I now understand it was all an illusion, I did not enjoy myself at all and Valve was controlling me through their draconian DRM mind-probe.

Edit: By the way, if this scheme of yours falls through, can you promise me it will really be the LAST stand?

You probably never noticed but you know, but when you buy games you usually "pay" for them, it's not charity.

That the license you buy prevents you from distributing the games you bought to half the planet it's perfectly normal, but the nonsense begin when you are forced to connect online to ask for permission every time you install/update/ sometime even play the game permission they can refuse without having to give any reasons, while of course giving the right holders the possibility to change the license terms and enforce them anytime they see fit.

You known "sustainable economy" doesn't necessarily means having the customer accepting everything because the poor dudes of the industry has to make money.
