Chaos Gate, just a week or two ago because someone (one of the German users here) claimed that it doesn't work on Windows 7. I installed it and checked. Well, it worked partially but I didn't manage to get into actual gameplay. Will have to try again eventually.

Superhero League of Hoboken... weird little game. I used to play it as a kid, and now that I understand some English I can finally get the jokes.

Let me guess - Bravo Screenfun 12/2001? :-) I had the same problem with my copy under DOSBox.

Uhm, that would be Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, I got a brand new copy off the eBay for a hella lotta money (for my standards anyway). The GOGs should really get this one.

No it is a normal version I bought long time ago, I think at Media Markt or Saturn^^

The version on the Bravo Screenfun disc (shitty magazine, but awesome cover CD games - a telling thing that it went under very soon after they stopped doing the games) was apparently designed to run from the outset using a PIF shortcut on Win95/98, and I'd simply assumed that they'd stripped out the installation program for that purpose.

X - Beyond the Frontier. Also tried X2 but it runs extremely choppy.
Quake 1 somehow ends up on every computer I own :-)
Last weekend: Frontier - Elite 2 with OpenGL patch. Glitched graphics (stuff missing/transparent), anyone got this to run properly?

Tried it a few months ago. Seems to be abandoned without actually being finished. I don't think there is any real way of getting GLFrontier working without endless glitches.

Yeah, I thought it was you, wasn't sure, though.
I think I know what I have to do, though, plus there's a whole lot of other people out there who seem to have managed to play it at least on Windows 7, don't know about Windows 8.
How much did you pay? I have a retail copy, just curious.

60 GBP, ie 80 EUR. I don't have that much money to spare for purchasing retro games anymore.

Morrowind! Ah, those good old days where a physical copy of a game didn't require a Steam account... *sniff*
By the way... I remembered it to be a better game overall. The last time I played it, I found it quite boring. Strange, since years ago I spent countless hours after it, doing every possible quest and using (nearly) every possible class.
