Licurg: Well I eat dead animals every day, so how can I be against killing them ? :P
Whenever I say, the torture and killing of animals I mean, locking up an animal, torturing and then killing it. Like the kind of stuff that happens in laboratories.

That's where the definition gets goofy because an animal will have to die to supply meat. In any case, I've used up enough space on this thread so I'll end it here unless you want to discuss it in another thread/pms

But that's not torturing animals.

I've seen people post videos on youtube of a group of chav teens physically beating helpless rabbits for instance. That's not on.

I edited my entry requirements to make things more clear. I'm not against the killing of animals. I'm against the torturing + killing combination towards animals. Like sticking tubes into animals, then pumping them full of chemicals just to see how they react to those chemicals. Then later, when the animal is useless, it gets killed. Never knowing what it is like to be happy.

In Finland a big problem are the fur farms. :( Hopefully one day such cruelty can be outlawed. Luckily we have some pro-animal grouls such as Animalia, who try to influence our nation's government on the matter.
