Nigoro just opened a kickstarter for the sequel to La-Mulana. For those who are unfamiliar with the game, it combined the platforming of Castlevania with Zelda's puzzles, and then stole Indiana Jone's style. My opinion on the first game is that it is awesome, and deserved far more recognition than it got.

So I am voting with my wallet to help fund the sequel. The goal is for $200,000 to make the sequel reality. Here's to hoping it reaches that peak, and beyond.

$266,670 total.

Nice.
I have yet to finish the first .. last time I tried it almost finished me :(
I was very close to the end myself, but stopped half-way through the Hell Temple. Now that I had managed to lose my savefile, I will have to play through again...and I look forward to it. :)
I seriously need to finish the first game. I got stuck somewhere after making a statue fall and then I got distracted by about a million GOGs and non-GOGs coming out :/

I am going to have to take some vacation time for this one and hunker down for a no guide run :D

Despite me using Lemeza as my avatar, I have yet to seriously give the first a go - I just happen to like his Indiana Jones likeness a lot. ;) Maybe after my current run through Geneforge 2 I'll give it a real try.

I wish them success with their Kickstarter. This may very well be one of those rare projects I'm actually tempted to back; haven't done so since the Wasteland 2 & Shadowrun Returns KSeses. I'm quite liking these absurd stretch goals, and I think more project should have these:

$200,256 : Curry Party

The whole La-Mulana 2 team will sit together and have a curry party live on Twitch.TV. Curry is the soul of La-Mulana, and curry will be the soul of our team.

$200,768 : Curry Hell

La-Mulana 2 director Takumi Naramura will eat curry three times a day for three days. Enduring this spicy hell will make him stronger, allowing him the ability to make an even better game!

Step one: buy yourself a notebook.

Step two: take notes on /everything/.

Seriously.

Stocking up on your caffeinated beverage of choice wouldn't be amiss. Here's to your success. :)

Yeah...that's what I thought. Sorely considered backing this, but...

Then I suppose you have your work cut out for you, don't you? :P

I think the devs have their work cut out for them as the game doesn't quite exist yet :) Speaking for myself, I would be happy to see La-Mulana 2 but that's not up to me :)

You mean we can't load you up on curry, send you to Japan and have you secure a game that isn't even made yet? Next, you're going to tell me there's no Santa Claus. :P

Its a shame. But yeah no agreement. Yet :P. When they have an actual game i guess ;)...
Good luck for them! Will need to skip this myself since haven't even gotten around playing the first game yet.
