Actually, what you have failed to realize is that what I've said is the truth. I like how you try to validate your actions with your assertive expression even when such matters only affect the presentation. As you couldn't possibly have a rebuttal, I will end the discussion here, for the truth is with me.

I don't think that was very neutral, and I feel your posts were a bit on that side. What I want to say is mostly that colorful expression doesn't mean that a person is angry or hostile, and you aren't necessarily a gentleman even if your text is covered in the finest intellectualism.

Just saw this edit and wanted to follow up. My original point was that the rep system is working as it should, and that we should stop focusing so much on it. I made this clear in multiple posts. I'm not sure if that edit was sarcasm or not.

No I mean I have no idea what the point of saying "Still can't admit that the +/- system could be working as intended" was or why you're even harping on that supposed passive aggressive misquoting

If I thought it was working as intended, I would admit it. I don't... so I said that I can admit that it's not working as intended

this is disturbing indeed , people on gog need to stop thinking that "Hey i give away a ton of games, i can probably say anything and it will be liked , i am a gog god and all my posts are golden words"

I do not think it works as intended, when for example a thread asking why all games are in English gets seriously downvoted... what is wrong with it? There are several other examples also, but this one of the most recent, any whiff of something that may be seen as a criticism of anything gog may stand for = downrep...

this is the easiest example. There are also examples when someone gets downrepped no matter what they are posting, in this case the person get down ripped for who he is, not for the posts he makes - also not right in my opinion - so no, it do not work as intended. The problem with the rep system is that it is to easy, and that we are dealing with people ("A person is smart. People are dumb" -K)

But most importantly - rep do not really have any impact over anything except your own perception of your e-peen (but that is as intended... or is it?)

I almost never use the rep buttons aside from uprepping giveaways, so I'm probably not the one to speak, however I never cut someone slack for what he did for the community. I always take a post by its face value and I often don't even look at who posted it until I finish writing my reply and see the nick in the quote bar.

I don't care about rep, and I never will, but when I got downrepped the other day I deserved it, if you can deserve something like that; so honestly, while I don't think about it either way, from the point of view of some of the posters I can't say that the system has ever been unfair to me. I dig this forum and I dig everyone in here; bring me down to -1000, so long as i don't start getting death threats (or find a petition signed by the entire forum asking for my removal) then I'm going to continue to hang out here regardless of whatever + or - someone wants to click on my post.
