Maybe I'm just pissed because I basically grew up on Dairy Milk and I'd hate to see a company that makes great chocolate (that's opinionated) bought out by a bunch of Americans who make spray cheese.
I apologize if that was a waste of database space. Or if you have NO FUCKING CLUE about what I'm saying (like, if you aren't British or live in any place that appreciates colonial imports).

I have to agree it will be a sad day to see this once great company being taken over i hope this buyout collapses but probably not. Just hope if it happens that we dont see an end to this great brand.

Well i had exact same feeling when Cadbury bought E.Wedel
the taste changed a bit,not always for better.

I'm positive nothing will be changed with the brand. All one can hope for is that they don't run that existing brand into the ground or mismanage the company.
Personally I hate Cadbury's chocolate. Sickly, excessively sweet stuff! I do buy Cadbury's cocoa though and occasionally indulge in their special bars they have from time to time (creme egg bar, turkish delight bar etc).

As long as they don't change the recipie for the chocolate to their version I don't care who owns the company. I love that sickly sweet dairy milk chocolate that cadbury do best.

Kind of pissed at this..
Cadbury's has been around for a long time.. my family routes are from Birmingham and even had a relative who worked for them many years ago.. I hate to see a decent British company fade away like this.
I bet they clsoe the fraking factory and move production to the states.. As if jobs here went tight already. Have more chance of finding purple sparkleing leprachaun shite that smells of lavander than a job in the UK at its current state..
Might keep my Cadbury's choc bar here on my desk un opened as a reminder to what once was..
