I don't wish ill on anyone but I fucking hope Brian Crecente has an accident. A bad one. Seriously why would you as a gamer give this any attention?

Do you hate games? Yes is the only answer that would justfy publishing that. The Red Cross do wonderful work around the world but they have no business looking at games. NONE. Calling games like Call of Duty war crime trainers is beyond belief. This should have just disappeared but no Kotaku have run with it (Think of the pagehits!!!), Crecente is a nasty little man who is payed a lot of money to talk about an industry he hates with a passion. Games Journalism eh?

Similar to the PETA stuff isn't it?

Although why the Red Cross would stoop to that level I don't know.
Fortunately very few articles of his make it onto kotaku au

sadly we still get brian ashcraft quite a lot
So...do you really think the problem will go away if nobody make a news of it?
I see close to 600 million people (their estimate of gamers) who will never again give donations to Red cross.

Also, if the game is set before the Geneva convention, doesn't that mean that no treaty was in effect and thus they can't be reprimanded for this?

It's not news, it's a nothing. Why is this even being reported? The Red Cross have no business commenting on a video game.

But they did and it's news and someone is reporting it.

No Kotaku have made news out of it. There is a difference.

but they are not red cross. What catshade said is correct. do you believe if kotaku did not report it then the problem would go away?

Red cross = big organization
Kotaku = gaming news
Red cross does something in relation to the gaming kotaku should report it.

you seem to be blaming kotaku for RC actions. which is just weird.

I got the exact same feeling.

I am blaiming them for reporting it at look at header picture. Seriously doesn't that make you think WTF? This is a nothing and shouldn't be reported at all. Kotaku however can't miss the page hits.
Well at least the next COD team can end their search for a new 'No Russian' shocker. Carpet bombing a Red Cross convoy seems a likely bet.

I'm seriously baffled by the suggestion that the Geneva Convention rules should be applied to a work of fiction. That's just, well, weird and indicative of the comentator's own grasp upon reality.
Kotaku hasn't crossed the line so much as they have taken the line, tortured it in Guantanamo Bay and then force it to perform on the X Factor.

Besides, this isn't the first time Kotaku has taken a stupid story, added a fucking moronic picture on the top ("WAR CRIMINAL IN TRAINING?") and left it there for the hordes of high school dropouts in their tracksuits to swear and write shit they know nothing about.

why should it not be reported? Why Kotaku should censor itself? silly picture is silly and i'll give you that but the article?

Red cross is big organization which is quite important. and it is doing something which might or might not affect games. that is news for a gaming site.

you might have good reason to hate kotaku, i don't read it i don't know. this article. You are crossing the line yourself Delixe. You are attacking not only the site, but the author just for reporting the news and ask everyone to pretend that it doesnt happen.

im sorry but that's just weird.
