Last week someone filed a complaint about Skyrim promoting homosexualism and asking White house to ban the game and everyone reported it. It was a much more stupid attempt than this. Did you complain about it?

What RC is suggesting is not too outrageous; they are brainstorming about games and morality.

Delixe: It's not news, it's a nothing. Why is this even being reported? The Red Cross have no business commenting on a video game.
avatar
lukaszthegreat: but they are not red cross. What catshade said is correct. do you believe if kotaku did not report it then the problem would go away?

Red cross = big organization
Kotaku = gaming news
Red cross does something in relation to the gaming kotaku should report it.

you seem to be blaming kotaku for RC actions. which is just weird.
Kotaku has a habit of reporting anything that even involves a video game, even with a passing mention, as hard hitting news.

Kotaku is the worst of the worst when it comes to games reporting.
I see no reason to get mad at this.

lukaszthegreat: you might have good reason to hate kotaku, i don't read it i don't know. this article. You are crossing the line yourself Delixe. You are attacking not only the site, but the author just for reporting the news and ask everyone to pretend that it doesnt happen.

im sorry but that's just weird.
Me? Attack Brian Crecente? Guilty as charged. Crecente is a nasty little man who hates games. Last E3 He was paid lot of money to go to E3 and his only contribution was asking where the PS3 version of Battlefield 3 was.

As for the article he picked this up out of no-where to justifiy his salary. Nothing more.

So they report anything even remotely related to news, is that a bad thing? I know they have a culture shock/clash or some similar stuff where they write about well culture clash.

Be that as may reporting RC's view about games and morality is not being worst in games reporting.

fine.
yet isnt it news that a huge organization like RC takes not only a look but investigates war games?
and delixe said it himself: The Red Cross have no business commenting on a video game
isn't it even more noteworthy that organization which has no business in commenting on video games actually does that? They certainly believe they have a good reason.
if you believe news is not worth your attention... just don't read it.

and delixe

congratulations on giving Kotaku more traffic

Oh.God. Seriously? What the hell are the Red Cross doing looking at games? Seriously?
Well, the Red Cross are the reason we can't have said symbol for health power-ups in video games, so this might be worth keeping an eye on.

I don't read that crap. Haven't for over six months. Unfortunately their "opinions" are taken seriously by people and I'm sure people will stop donating to the Red Cross over this BS.

I'm not exactly happy about it.

Just... no.

RC looking at video games is RC's business, nothing to do with Kotaku. Are you being dense on purpose?

No I am not. I am quoting this

"Delixe: Oh.God. Seriously? What the hell are the Red Cross doing looking at games? Seriously?
"
and answering with this

"RC looking at video games is RC's business, nothing to do with Kotaku. Are you being dense on purpose?"
