It's possible to see old KOEI games in GOG with new window application and multiplayer option?

That looks amazing, and it's nice to see other people who apparently cared about the OPRainfall stuff on this site. I'd really like some Japanese PC games, and Koei would definitely be nice for that. Visual novels as well. I really like Japanese things and games, so a little more would be nice.

yeah it would be cool to see some oldschool koei games here
I got more and more interested (longtime nobunaga's fan here) in those since gog released sword of the samurai :)
Would love to see (any/some of) the Koei classics given a new lease on life here. Especially the first two Uncharted Waters (the still eminently playable New Horizons in particular), the first four Romance of the Three Kingdoms games, Bandit Kings of Ancient China, Genghis Khan I & II. Would encourage anyone who thinks the same to vote for them in the wishlist, as there are entries for just about every Koei game there, even duplicates in some cases.

Koei was a great developer in the 80s/90s (at least), pity they never seemed to care too much about non-Asian markets (e.g. as shown by how many of the later Rot3K & Uncharted Waters games were never given English localizations).

Bandit Kings of Ancient China is one of my all time favourites!
This got me remembering an old classic from my Sega Genesis days: Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

Any chance the newer ones from Koei are DRM-Free somewhere? Or even the older games.
This post topic got me to remembering my young days when I was working at Toys R Us when this middle age guy was picking up all the tickets of the Koei games for $5 a piece because the nintendo isle was getting clearanced to make way for more snes and genesis games.

I remember wondering why and thought it was odd. Back then I was only mostly a fan of rpgs like the first Final Fantasy, The Legend of Zelda, and Dragon Warrior. Sadly I never really looked into those Koei strategy games. So much regret I really wished I knew better back then and more informed.

So yeah I would pick up a compilation of those old classic Koei games in a heartbeat ^_^

You nailed it. i would love to see KOEI here. I wanted to post about KOEI but forgot. Romance of the Three Kingdoms series, Uncharted Waters 1 & 2 especially 2, Genghis Khan series, Bandit Kings of Ancient China and PTO series.

I've got the CD version of ROTK 11, and I think it's DRM free. I can play it without the CD, anyway.
Maybe there is a one-time activation code during installation? Don't remember. But nothing intrusive.

Good game. Would love to see a few more of those :)

Looks like I would have to get them imported. I wonder if they bothered to include languages besides Japanese and Chinese.

Edit: looks like they make a ROTK 11 demo. I didn't know they still made demos. Here's the File Planet link for the demo, for anyone else interested.
Also on Gamersgate for $20

ROTK11 had a western edition (French, english, etc). It's the one I have.
My favourites are still RTK 3 and 4.
How about L'Empereur? Nobody loves it?

Gemfire is also nice, a casual game.

Damn training mode of ROTK11. I just want to play the damn game, not have my hand held. Looks like I might skip this game, as it looks a lot more complicated than the one I played way back when. Too bad I don't still have that Sega.

It looks like they turned the glorious war game that I remember into a city builder. While I like city builders, I like war games more.
