just picked these up from a local thrift store; both King's Quest 5 &6 in the original big boxes, complete with full paper work (game manuals, lore books, Sierra catalog, fliers for Prodigy internet service, and in one case a warning about Norton Antivirus popping a false positive).

pictures will be up soon ....
King's Quest? That adventure game?

You mean these?

Sorry mate, I couldn't resist :P. How much did you get your games for?

-edit- Dude you removed the contents! I couldn't bear to remove mine lol.

yeppers, slightly different versions though ... my copy of VI has the same format as the middle on in your collection, except it is white like the one on the left.

and V has got a system spec sticker in the bottom left that says "VGA" and lacks the "256" sticker to the right.

*edit* lol I got 'em for $3.99 each!

and since the boxes were already opened I saw no harm in pulling everything out. kinda scared to look through the manuals for fear that I will rip em or get fingerprint on em.

Yeah KQ6 has a total of 3 editions. I managed to get 2 (the CD version and the blue 3.5" version), but I missed out on the white one. Also, good deal. $4 is really sweet, even if that tear makes me sad :(

Awesome find! I'm jealous :-)
Wonderful!
I sadly have the Steam Collection,whereKQ9 is missing and there are a lot of trouble for playing first games (they comes without Dosbox config).

What is that?
An ugly chapter of the saga :D
Good find mister archaeologist.

I remember getting a KQ box containing 7 games. Nothing too fancy though... Anyway, enjoy the games!

(KQ3 is insane).

The Silver Lining? Or maybe the new game Telltale is supposedly making, though I hear that may be a reboot.

Of course, it's far more likely it was a typo and was meant to be KQ8 (i.e. Mask of Eternity) instead...
WOW!!!! That is one insane collectors find man, and 3.99$ each is just crazy.
That's AWESOME! I have the KQV hint book in my desk drawer...I read it more often than I played the game. Someday I'll finish it.
