Lexor: A small summary for today:
- I have already contents of GamersGate version of King's Bounty (thanks to Vitek)
- I am still waiting for contents of Steam version from Spindown (or any other volunteer)
Oops, sorry. I thought you didn't need it anymore since you got the info from Vitek. Anyway, here it is (just rename the attachment to .txt).

Did you get a reply from the folks at 1C? Did you ever ask them directly if they can explain where the different GOG build came from?

Downloaded and thank you! You can delete attachment if you want to.
For the best conclusions is good to have any possible source :)

I do know also about KB on Impulse but I do not know any owner of this version nor its version number.

About fixer: no, not yet, but it was time free from work, so I'm looking forward to this week.
Yes, I've asked them about this weird difference but I haven't got "direct answer".. sigh.

Just to make sure about .\sessions\base\LOCALIZATION directory - there are no files in it only more (also empty) subdirectories?

Yup, it's empty.
GOG updated the KB install files in November of this year. I checked the thread but didn't see if anyone has checked for the bugs after that time period?

We know about that - bugs from opening post seem to be eliminated but current questions are quite different :)

I knew you'd talked about the install being updated, but didn't know if the bugs had been fixed or not. Thanks for letting me know. :)

So all known bugs are fixed or are the OP bugs still there (bugged garrison/reserve and bugged display)? Now you're just trying to figure out how the different versions differ, right? Or?

These two bugs are fixed "in some way" (I will need to check way of fixing these "battle numbers") - but I am not so sure if the patch wasn't made only to fix these two instead of releasing whole proper 35234 version - if you know what I mean. The other thing is, for example, incompatibility of saves.

OK. Thanks for clarifying. I thought that was where things stood.

Just to clarify for you also: these two bugs mentioned in opening post seems to be "somehow" eliminated - I'm still investigating others.

Can you tell me what is inside your curver.txt file? Number 5? Number 14? Anything else?
avatar
Vitek: ...
The same question as above for you about curver.txt. And second question: can you tell me what Windows version you are using?

Thank you both in advance.

It's 14. GamersGate version comes as 1.6.4 and then the number is 12 and after installing 1.7 patch it becomes 14.
I use Win-7 Ultimate 64-bit. The game was installed on XP and just copied so I redownloaded it today to see if there is any difference but everything is the same.
