orcishgamer: Hmm, that's probably some of the smallest laptop screens right now. Can you edit the .ini file? It depends on the engine but you might be able to set it to your resolution manually.
I managed to "hack" the resolution (Documents\My Games\Reckoning\personal.ini - if anyone is interested) but there are some serious HUD scaling problems. Oh well - I guess I won't be playing it any time soon. Which is unfortunate, because it actually runs smoothly on 800 x 600.

Someone might be able to mod in support for that. Maybe pick it up in 2 months or so when the support is there. Sorry it's not working for you just now:(

Mind if I ask what GPU your using? theres a long list of unsupported hardware in the graphics part of the required specs..
I played the demo just to get the ME3 items so maybe my motivation to play the game was lacking but I found it very underwhelming. Graphically, it reminds me of Torchlight but with better textures. I found the combat boring and not really strategic, you just have to master blocking and then slash the enemy. From the few quests I was able to do it seems most of them are "follow the yellow cursor on the map", get something for me, return or get something else then return so you can safely skip the conversations and just follow your map.
Maybe I'll get it when it's less than $10.
Played the demo. Felt it was cool (even though I don't really care much for action RPGs) except the sidequests. Not sure about all of the sidequests but the ones I did felt like some MMO sidequests. Kill a number of these, fetch this guy, fetch this item etc.
demo for xbox first thing just pissed me

FYI, anyone who played on XBox 360 can thanks MS for sending their email address to EA, even if you opted out of the Origin thing.

Funnily enough the unsolicited email, thank you for playing the demo and asking you to buy the game, closes with something to the effect, "If you have opted out of receiving emails, this is the only email you'll get from this."

Well, my buying decision just went from, "After they've fixed the issues and it's somewhat cheaper" to "When it's under 10 dollars and I know it's going to be good." I guess I don't care about email marketing as much as I care about how fucking insulting that email was.

I'll be writing MS and asking them to please refrain from sharing my contact information with 3rd parties, in the future.

...what? Seriously, what? That's basically saying "We know breaking and entering is illegal, so we made sure to only break down your BACK door and leave this note acknowledging our understanding that breaking and entering is a crime."

That's...not only stupid, I think that's illegal.

Although - call me a sheep if y'like, but I'm still buying it first-day, the demo was darn impressive.

I think it'll be good and worth playing. But I do have a massive backlog and won't suffer in the slightest by not purchasing until sometime around Christmas 2012. So I choose to give them the middle finger and do so. The only reason I would have bought it day 1 would be massive appreciation. Based on the bugs I saw in the demo I couldn't justify that, but I could have justified an early purchase as soon as it was stable. Now it's 5 dollar time, baby!

Having now tried both the Xbox and PC demos I have to say apart from the post processing bug the PC version is a lot less buggy overall.

Well, the XBox 360 version of the demo locked up my entire XBox 360, which is something only Bethesda games normally do.

By the time I have the the time to play it I will probably have a PC that can handle it as well.

Radeon Mobility 5470. I know it's not a gaming card, but I can get most games to run at acceptable speed with some tweaking. Darksiders for example runs fine for the most part at low resolution and it has a very similar minimum requirements. The only problem is that the low resolutions for KoA are unsupported.

Disable Post processing.
