You could also try The Lost Tribe (I know it's abandonia, and I know how some of you feel about abandonia, but I couldn't find any other good reference. Kill me please)

You are chief. You must start journey. You must hunt, eat, party, sleep, hope in that order. If you not, you get sacrificed to God BigRockBigFlame. And worst of all, your bones get excavated by not-hairy men and put in museum. How's that for big fail, uga?

KneeTheCap: Honestly, is there a game that let's you play some sort of supreme ruler? I don't mean all those city building or rts games, but a realistic simulator. You know, you could be like a king, make decisions concerning your kingdom and it's people. Make allies and such?
Its just a bit dated, but...

I've not played it personally (yet), but I've heard Supreme Ruler 2010 is about as complex as "ruler simulators" go.

KneeTheCap: I tried Majesty, it was "ok", but a bit too RTS. I even bought "Be A King 2" from gamersgate, and was really disappointed in that game...

Gameplay should be like: "more decision making, not the action" if that helps a bit. I can't really explain it thoroughly...

Have you guys played Dragon Age: Awakening? A bit like that when the people comes to see you at the meeting hall and make their questions and request...
Ah okay I get it. You're looking for a game where you live the life of the king, which includes elements of empire building, and not just focused on empire building alone?

Exactly! Thank you, you explained it better than me :D

As far as I can gather, The Guild will suit that criteria best. Have you tried it?

:-)

Yes, I've played every one of the Guild series (even renaissance, first one to cause bluescreens, had to alter boot.ini to get the game work...)

But again, It's not "the one". I'm not confident at all that there even is a game like the one I'm looking for. Hence I turn to you guys, wisest of them all, to seek advice :-)

I understand that Fable 3 has some king simulator stuff, shame that I sold my Xbox360 (it's a total piece of.....faulty hardware) and went back "home" (PS3)
King of Dragon Pass is probably the only one left on the list then. It's an awesome game, and I bet one and a half balls that it's what you're looking for.

Agreed...on the game part. I ain't putting my balls on the line, even for a great game like KoDP. :)
KoDP is great, highly recommended.

You could try one of the millions of mmo civ games, they're kinda arse, but better than nothing.
Knights of Honor. Great game set in medieval europe with very interesting diplomatic options concerning alliances, crusadesespionage and dynasties (sometimes you're forced into a shady alliance only to receive agreement on a royal marriage needed to prolong your dynasty). Oh, and you can fight your batlles in a simplified but still fun Total War style. Thanks to all this I find this game way more interesting than Crusader Kings where I get quickly bored. I believe there's a demo so try it out first.
What you describe sounds a lot like Castles and Castles 2 to me.
One more thing :-)

The game doesn't have to be in the medieval setting, if the gameplay is similar of what I'm looking for :-)

Hmm, Dragon Pass does seem promising, and I'll check out the Knights of Honor too (Is it similar to Stronghold series?)
I haven't played it myself, but Majesty could be similar to what you want.

No, it's a large-scale strategy; instead of building a castle, stone-by-stone, you manage a whole kingdom, with all its individual provinces.
