Scuse me this game looks interesting. But it seems like a game that last you like 10 minutes. Ok lets say you can take different paths so it lasts longer. If something comes up the second time playing would you know the right path to take.

Let me know how long this game last you and if you like it,
If by 10 minutes you mean 10-20 hours per game then yes. Short games are probably around 10 hours, I imagine long games can go on considerably longer. There's apparently around 500 different events, so you won't see them all in one playthrough. Also, this is important, there's no right path. Pretty much every option in most encounters is equally plausible, it's not a good vs bad thing so much as it is trying to preserve the happiness of your tribe while not antagonizing everyone else. Plus you can always play as a completely different type of tribe, too.

So lots of replay value. And it's brilliant. And 5.99. Go get it! Don't expect action, though. :)

I've yet to play it, but everyone says it's awesome, so I say buy it.

Am currently playing this now. Have to say it is one of the most interesting, fun, and engrossing games I have played in some time. It may not be everyones cup of tea, but I am loving it. 10 minutes? Maybe to just to get your clan started. I am sure you can run your clan into the ground and unrecoverable disaster, but I am guessing that would still take you a couple hours give or take, and incredibly poor decisions to accomplish that. Check this out to see if it's something that might tickle your gaming fancy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gu-1COGyUYM&feature=list_other&playnext=1&list=SPA6C587C21AE5B9AA

Ohhh..how long? sorry...I am playing a "short" game, and so far have about 10 hours+ into it. Am just forming my tribe now, and if all goes well (keeping fingers crossed), in ten years (game) and a few sucessful Hero Quests, the Gods may smile upon me and grant me a "short game" victory. I'm estimating I'll have a another good 10+ hours invested to find out the outcome.

As Licurg above says...Buy It! (he's the resident Godtalker, and knows his shit)

Basically what Gazoinks said. I can assure you that no two games are alike. Plus, even if you know what to expect on an encounter, some random chance is always present. If it worked on one playthrough it won't necessarily work in the next, depending on how much magic/temple power/advisor competence you have available.

^Yeah, this is true as well. You may find that a diplomacy option that worked on the last playthrough didn't work on your next one and such. This is especially true of Heroquests, which can be pretty hard to complete even if you know all the details of the story.

Dude, WTF? It's just 3$ for one of the best TBS games ever made... It still shocks me that you never played it before...

It's more a matter of backlog than price. In the last week I got Freedom Force, KoDP, Zeus+Poseidon, and Total Annihilation. I want to hold off on buying anything more until I clean it up a bit.

Even so, you should still buy MoM if you have the cash. Keep in mind it's a pretty dated game too, so if you don't like it(which won't happen) you will at least not have spent much on it.

The game doesn't have several linear paths that it guides you through. But you seem to be under that impression. The events you encounter come directly from your actions. You decide to explore -> you find something interesting but also dangerous, you don't explore -> wildlands have grown dangerous. You decide to raid and a bunch of your people die -> women are mad about losing their husbands. These are just some random examples. Each event provides many ways to deal with it. This is the game to play if you care about C & C. And because it get the consequences right, every play through is different.
