As TVLand is a Viacom network, they're occasionally going to air Nickelodeon ads. Normally I tune them out, but then I hear the words "Kardashian", "guest", and "Kid's Choice Awards".

What the hell is an amateur porn star doing on a children's awards show? Steven Tyler I could understand, since he's hosting American Idol now, and the kids are crazy about that now, but women who rose to fame solely on the basis of the popularity of a sex tape should not be allowed anywhere near kids.

While I'm at it, I'm sick of Snooki. I've not seen one episode of Jersey Shore, ever, but I'm sick to fucking death of this saturation of Snooki. By the way, I didn't see that Wrestlemania match with her in it or whatever it was. Did she get her ass kicked? Please say yes. I loved seeing the Situation flop during Trump's Roast.

That's not the point. Beyonce and Britney are professional singers, and that's how they rose to fame. Kardashian, and her whole family, rose to fame because of a sex tape.

My daughter loves Rihanna and she seems very racy (most people think Ke$ha is a "slut" something I would not call someone just because they were open to sex, but that's the word I hear a lot for her, I've never seen a racy picture of Ke$ha but you don't even have to try for Rihanna, Last.fm will push them in your face). The funny thing is, most people don't think Rihanna is racy, but they think Ke$ha is (she seems like 100% act to me).

Just take it as a chance to have a conversation with your kid. Sex is one of our biggest motivation factors once we have enough food, if not the biggest. I think those Kardashians have a show, do they not? I didn't know about a sex tape, but they are famous now for more than that it seems.

I don't always like being tuned into what's going on in kids entertainment, some of it will always suck, a bit of it will grow on you. I guess I don't see what all the furor is about.

As for Stephen Tyler, I love Aerosmith, but he probably banged 3+ groupies during intermission of every show he played. I don't know why you're giving him a pass, he's a sex idol and turned his own daughter into a sex symbol.
Dude, you often make a valid point. You just need to tone it down, man. When you write something, don't post for a minute, after 60 seconds read it and ask yourself how you'd respond if someone talked to you that way.

I don't have a problem with swearing, and I've certainly popped off at people about something I felt strongly when I shouldn't have (I usually secretly regret it). Everyone here will give you an occasional pass if you do it sometimes. Just be calm. Don't take stuff too personally, we all go poof when we die, enjoy what we have and hope it's not all "piss and shit" (lifted from Spartacus because the term struck me as funny:) ), rational conversation, even in disagreement, is far more pleasant anyway.

Maybe this year I'll watch Nickelodeon.

Pretty much all female performers ooze tons of sexuality. Teen shows are all centered around sex, pregnancy, cheating etc. There's a new show called secret life of teeangers and from annoying commercials it seems it's about sex and such again, having kids at like 14 etc. Having Kim won't make it any worse.
