At this rate soon there isn't gonna be any bad guys left.
Checked out the videos where people are crying over his death on the streets. Feels like the most fake sadness I've ever seen. Oh, and one dude was laughing.

And the buildings of the Pentagon and CIA will become haunted houses .

Don't worry, when the world runs out of bad guys, you can count on somebody to make one up.
About time the bastard finally died. Kim Jong il was definitely the most horrible dictator of the modern world. The one thing that I'm worried about is that his son would be much worse or act as a puppet for a worse de facto leader within the communist party.

One thing I'm hoping for is some kind of insurrection within North Korea that would lead to the communist government's downfall and South Korea taking over the north.

oldschool: Yeah, it looks like junior will fill his daddy's shoes, let's hope that he didn't inherent all of poppa's dickhead traits. Maybe the Korean people should just overhtrow the new government, food for thought?
Overthrow the government? With pitchfork and curses against the army?
Also I doubt any of the generals or people in the government will try a coup. While the promise of power or being a hero (gain power in a civil war and then kick communism to the nuts or at least do it like China did), should they fail, then firing squads will have a lot of work.

rampancy: Just as a note, when referring to Korean names (in this case, Kim Jong-il), the last (family) name is written first, so his given name would be Jong-il; his last name is Kim.

Lone3wolf: Yes, I am aware of this. I am not American ;)
Hey hey now, I knew that too.

Bugger all.

ne_zavarj: But it has oil .
...and a million troops and nukes. While the US government can indeed determine a barrel of oil / troop value for money ratio, that oil simply ain't worth it.

The US goverment is paranoid since 9 / 11 .

Parvateshwar: So he died of Pancreatic Cancer, same thing Jobs had for those who don't know anything about cancer, which sucks, but I can't say I'm sad to see him pass on. Not sure what's going to happen with the DPRK but the military administration was strong and I'm sure they'll figure something out until a replacement figure can be found. His son is still young but perhaps he'll grow up quickly to fill the void.
Really? Everywhere I can see are reporting him dead from a heart-attack.

Lone3wolf: I wonder if he'll borrow Spike Milligan's epitath : "I told you I was ill!" for his own tomb >.<

keeveek: Lol, ancient RPG tombs joke comes to life :D

Cheers mate, you made me laugh ;)
No! Really! Mr Milligan had that epitaph carved onto his gravestone! He always was a comedian! :P

BTW, I heard on the news that North Korea were test firing a bloody big missile today - so that's nice!

FraterPerdurabo: Hopefully his son will transform North Korea from a failed state to a developing country.
In my cristal ball, I see convergence between our lifestyle and theirs.
