Hello, all! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you!

As you may or may not know, I am working on a turn-based, fantasy roguelike called Kilgazar. The game engine is completely original as are the graphics for the game. Pierce Roth did the character artwork and beta testing appears to be going smoothly. You can find more information about it on IndieDB.com. I've attached some recent screenshots to this post, too.

There is also a Facebook page and a Twitter page for those who use either site and wish to follow the game's development.

Things have been kind of busy for me this month causing development to slacken a bit.

HOWEVER...

I'm holding a giveaway to help promote the game, which I hope will be finished early next year. If you'd like, please vote for it on GOG's wishlist. It would be appreciated, but is not required to enter the giveaway and you don't have to tell me either way.

What's being given away?

I received these two free codes from GOG and will be giving them away.
- Realms of Arkania 1+2
- Realms of Arkania 3

To enter, say the game or games you'd like to receive. A winner will be drawn for each game and it's possible that the same person will win both games.

Entries will be allowed until around 10:00 PM EST Saturday, December 29. Random.org will choose the winners within a day or two after closing.

Rules
- Must have joined before Dec 2012.
- Must have 20 or more rep points.
- Trading of codes is not allowed. I'd like to give them to someone who actually wants to play the games. To ensure that the codes won't be traded, they'll be dumped into the ninja thread once I feel like enough time has passed for the codes to have been redeemed.

Small Print
- I reserve the right to include members who don't meet the requirements if I see they are truly just a new and active member.
- I also reserve the right to exclude members who appear to be a scammer of some sort.

Sorry this is such a meager giveaway, but I hope to have more to come and with better prizes as the game gets closer to being finished.

Looks cool! On the site you mentioned a dungeon and a forest which are randomly generated, are there more? How big is the forest and dungeon.? Are you looking for bite sized playing like FTL? Sorry for the questions, genuinely interested

EDIT: Also I would like to enter for Realms of Arkania 3 :)

Thanks for the questions and the interest!

There are four stages: Forest, dungeon, castle, and underworld. All are randomly generated and maps are 64x64 squares.

I haven't played FTL yet, but I'm hoping to have adjustable playability where you can choose to play either one level total, one level of each scenario, or two levels of each scenario. Currently it only has two levels per scenario.

Sounds great! Best of luck!
not in for the giveaway, but +1!
voted ya up as well.
looks like it would be fun for a spin. hopefully there are some cool spells and skills abound, and the ability to throw any items like random arrows, or rocks without an additional weapon.
i loved some of the earlier Rogue-likes and even the Chocobo Rogue-likes.

play FTL! ^_^
that game is great, and its got a bunch of interesting mods.

any minor graphic mods possible with Kilgazar? like how in BG you could swap in your own avatar for your player character.

looking forward to seeing your project on my PC at some point.

Thanks, also. There are currently 8 spells and a variety of items. It's meant more along the lines of a quick rogue-like rather than a full on RPG type of roguelike, but maybe once it gets going, things can be added through updates.

As for graphic mods, I *think* one is already able to change all of the graphics although I haven't tested it and that's really an unintended side effect. :)
But using your own picture for the player character is something already on the TO DO list. :)

No, but thanks for the offer. :) I will leave the giveaway for the ones that want the games.
Not entering, but as someone who has had the pleasure of playing the game; I can say it is pretty damn epic. +1 for you, and you get my vote for your game on the wishlist.
Not in, but thanks and +1 for your generosity, adambiser!

You've a cool roguelike there, mate. Voted! ;)
Not in, but thanks and +1.
Not in as I have all the RoA games, but I voted for Kilgazar. We really need more roguelikes here on GOG :P
Not in, but thanks for your giveaway adambiser! +1
Thanks all!

Hopefully there will be more entrants as it goes on. I know most everyone has RoA 1+2 and 3, but hopefully someone who missed them will see this.
