cogadh: Yes, the GOG guys created this from scratch, hence why it lacks some of the features you normally find on the more established BB systems, like PMs, public profiles, signatures, a working quote system, etc.
Faithful: The quote system works, or it did work a bit better a few weeks back. The way around it is if it will not let you quote is normally delete the top user in the [ ] at the beginning of your quote.
Also, remember that the top user in the quote is the last person to post. So like this quote I am doing I simply deleted the melchiz's quote out to focus solely in your post.
That's the point, you shouldn't have to manually edit out quotes and we didn't have to in the past. Something changed about a month ago that broke the quote system so that it drops out the content of the oldest quote in a series of three or more nested quotes, but leaves the initial "quote_#" tag intact. To correctly get around the issue and still leave your quotes labeled correctly, you need to delete that stray innermost tag, not the top tag.

michaelleung: Good thing too, I'd hate to see the system bring in signatures and all that crap.
I agree, the forum shouldn't have crap like signatures, especially signatures with images, but PMs and an opt-in option to make your profile (including your game shelf) public... definitely worth having.
