Gexecuter: i'll explain how i buy games: I pay him the money , then he gifts me the games, it's pretty straightforward.

Why? Do you lack a credit/debit card and a PayPal account?
Hmm this has piqued my interest. Wanted Commandos for a while, but put off buying because I can get them all on a DVD for a few quid anyway. I already have Tropico and Port Royale, but I can get all the remaining games for $17 (or $11 for just the Commandos games). Now I'll probably get Commandos this time around making the other games $6. Although I'm unlikely to play them for long, at a couple of dollars each, I'll probably get my money's worth anyway. Then again, money is tight and there are always other offers to be had elsewhere....
I love having difficult choices to make at the weekend. Gives me something to think about when I'm not in bed recovering from a hang over.

Yep i have no credit card and i can't get one either because i am unemployed, so buying games trough another person that has a credit card is my only choice, it sucks but that's the only thing i can do in order to buy games.
Dislike having to buy all games to get the discount, and at 30% too little interest in most of these individually.
I am now the proud owner of Patrician 1+2 and Port Royale, so things went well. Also i really hope the games are good because i never played the series before, i bought them because they look interesting lol
Can anyone vouch for Tropico and the Commando series? I'm interest in both and want to know what makes them unique to play. =)

Well, the only thing I know about Commandos is that it's HARD AS HELL.

I can vouch that the first commandos is way too hard, mission 8 is the one that i got stuck, the one where you only have the marine and sniper. So many retries it's not even funny :(

The second one is an awesome tactical game. The first one is more than a little ludicrous. Which isn't helped by the fact that only the Driver can, well, you know, drive.... All such problems are fixed in the sequel and the third is supposed to be more of the same, but I haven't tried that one.

If you like managing a trade empire and looking after the citizens of various settlements (or have a knack for piracy), you are sure to find them very satisfying.

Tropico is quite an entertainig game IMO. You can lead your people either in the style of stereotypical banana republics ("The government is your friend. Even when it steals your hard-earned cash!"), relying on the support of the militarist faction, or using a more democratic approach, looking after your population. Also, there's a diversity of things to do, such as investing in the industry or making your island a prime target for tourists.
Additionally, it's "semi-open ended": you may play as long as you wish, but you can set an "evaluation date", at which point your game score is assessed and you're given the final score for that game, which depends on what you chose as your goal before starting the game (for example, the overall happiness of your population), and then you can play on.

I don't have one and can't get one either. Here is what you do: buy a pre-paid credit card and attach it to your Paypal account. Even after it runs out, you will still be able to buy games with it..money will simply come from your bank account. Been doing this for over a year.

Tropico is like the child of a relationship between a strategy game and a city builder. You maintain your nation and build it up however you want while trying to keep the populace happy/terrified enough to let you siphon money in to a foreign account somewhere. Tons of replay value simply because there are so many approaches.

Interesting, thanks for the tip. I am gonna check if they sell cards like that in my country.
So...can I be a ruthless dictator in Tropico?
