Al1: Welcome to GOG.

If you spend enough time on the forums, you will find it to be almost completely unregulated by GOG staff, but, against all logic, it functions, despite the lunatics running the asylum. Just remember: some of us are more sane than others. Just don't make eye contact with the psychos and you will do fine. Naming no names.

crazy_dave: This will be my first GOG-spring ... cool, didn't know GOG had a big spring sale. Of course my backlog from the GOG Xmas sale is already huge, don't if I can really get anymore.
If memory serves, its a fairly small, scattergun sale, not a patch on the Xmas sale, but then what could compare to the entire catalogue being on sale?

Hey hey hey, I did not say any of us were sane. Just sane relativly speaking (again, no names). We are still completely cuckoo by societal standards.

Sielle: We should probably mention that on ever Wednesday this month GOG is having a 24 hour sale on a game.

So far it was King's Bounty for 75% off and Tropico Reloaded for 60% off.

Also there's a sale almost every weekend.

New games are usually released on Tuesday, sometimes Thursday, and occasionally both days.
they way i found this actually was by that tropico sale. I didn't realize it was a 24 hour sale and decided to wait til the next day to buy it, by which time it was full price and I just started looking around

I am probably quite late but I can't express enough how grateful I am for having found this

edit: I myself bought the old Planescape and Baldur's Gate/Icecrown Dale games
Greets and just a heads up. Read the reviews on the GoGs before splashing money on them. A couple of them are currently buggy and it takes tech support a long time to get back in touch.

Most of them are spit-shined and polished though. I've purchased eleven so far and have about four free ones and I've had no problems.

it eliminates my need to search the discount computer game section at stores.

i would never find anything good anyway.

Welcome to GOG bokowolf :)

I thoroughly recommend you get "stuck in" with this community, it's definitely one of the best out there and is well worth the effort!
