Just saw this on GOG's twitter:
"I officially declare tomorrow Lords of the Realm release day!"
UPDATE: and it seems it will be Lords of the Realm 2, actually (or a pack?), which is excellent news.

Eeeeeeeeh weren't the Lords of the Realm series developed by ... Sierra? Or have the rights been sold to some obscure company by now?

Cool, I can't wait. I think it was one of the better medieval micromanagement games. I liked it because you got to use your imagination to strategize ways to win. It wasn't just faceless AI that's coming to take your kingdom.

I think it was produced by Sierra but I don't know who developed it. It's sad to see Sierra's once greatness sold off to tinpenny companies. On the other hand it's good to see them again.

Impression Games were a part of Sierra. They also developed the Caesar series. Coincidentally, I'd love to see the Caesar series here ...

EDIT: hmmm, maybe there's something else? In the "upcoming" tab in the main page, though only Lords of the Realm is listed, the counter for upcoming games shows "2"... simple error, or is there a hidden game there?

Never played this, but I looked at the gamecard, and... How many other games did they plagiarize completely when they made these?
Attached are a couple of comparative screenshots from both Defender Of The Crown and Lords Of The Realm. I'll leave it as an exercise for the reader to find more.

I'll give you the bizarre similarity with the line of buglers.
However, I think it's fairly reasonable that two games can come out using a map of Southern England.

It just seems an odd mish-mash of other games. Looking through the screenshots on the gamecard, I was thinking "Defender Of The Crown... Civilization... Heroes Of Might And Magic... Age Of Empires..." I don't generally have that experience with other games, even if they have familiar gameplay or interfaces.
