Have you tried redownloading the latest versions of the base game+rest of the DLCs and trying again?

No. Can't really be arsed to do all that, to be honest. If that nuclear option is the only solution, I would like some official notice that I have to uninstall and start all over.

For those of us who bought the base game + Gold Edition Upgrade + Mindgames + Pilgrim ----> is Juggernaut supposed to be included with the Gold Ed Upgrade or do we have to buy it separately? (or is this all fixed by downloading everything again) ??

Known issue; i alreadly got an answer a long time ago about such bundle :

basicaclly if you bought a base game & later if there are 2 options offered by GOG as purchase

a / a gold updgrade
b / a gold edition

Both content are the same , the only difference is the purchase method which differs, and GOG support said in the case you bought the gold upgrade seperatly the gold edition isn't flagged as onwed , due to a "limitation" of their own website (can't recall the exacts words , sorry)

the only option to have everything flagged is to have purchased the gold edtion , it only works in one way :/

the juggernaut upgrade problem is a bug most likely. After saying that, i really wish the devs or GOG (i don't care) make an effort to offer a all-in-one installer for at least the gold edtion : if they didn't realized it began a mess; well they are really blind :P

A tip to install this "mess"; just install one installer by following the gog build number, the number of different builds is increasing : the pit (2.3.0.24)-> mindgames (2.4.0.6)-> gold upgrade (2.6.0.11) ->pilgrim (2.6.0.34) , no idea for the juggernaut (don't have it)

Judas had pm'ed me yesterday that it needed to be purchased, but that was before I got this message during checkout for Juggernaut stating the following:

Please note that DLC: Sword of the Stars: The Pit - Juggernaut is already included in Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold Edition which you own.

I asked Judas to elaborate on this, but so far I've got nothing back. So yeah, everything about this issue is as clear as mud.

So... I just felt like wasting a bit of my time. I've downloaded all 4 installers (base game, MindGames, Gold Edition Upgrade and The Pilgrim) and did the installation in the correct order. Starting a new game, I can't pick the Juggernaut as a character (Not available. Requires Juggernaut DLC). So much for "Please note that DLC: Sword of the Stars: The Pit - Juggernaut is already included in Sword of the Stars: The Pit Gold Edition which you own." :/

But something new happened today... Putting Juggernaut in my cart and going to checkout no longer gives the "already included" message. So... Do I have to buy this thing now? Not complaining or something, I'll buy it if I have to. I just want to know if I already should own it, because I don't feel like wasting money on something I already own (theoretically)...

Had SOTS, all the DLC aside from Juggernaut. Juggernaut came out, someone was cool enough to give it to me as a gift. Installed the old SOTS items I had stored, then installed Juggernaut. Got the "base game not detected" error.
Came here. Saw people saying that redownload of all game components was needed. Uninstalled everything, redownloaded everything, reinstalled everything, with install order of 1 - Base Game, 2 - Mindgames, 3 - Gold Edition Upgrade, 4 - Pilgrim DLC, 5 - Juggernaut DLC.
After doing that, everything worked properly. Also, the Juggernaut DLC is showing up as being $1.99 for purchase. It isn't free.

Yar, I think it's re-install the whole lot. I still haven't done it, but CarriorCrow above reports that worked, so that appears to be the way to go. Get yer two bucks ready if ya wants it!

You've got me there. Would suggest tracking down a blue-text person and asking until you get a straight answer. Would say that it's a screwup, since I'm heavily doubting that GOG's going to put that out as a freebie after having to spend months fixing the piece of crap.

Just doublechecked to be completely sure I wasn't giving anyone bad info. The Juggernaut Mercenary's on my character select and the game loads with them chosen as my character with no problem.

Have you tried redownloading every single installer? You need the latest ones before you can install Juggernaut.

I'm pretty sure I've already re-downloaded them all after the Juggernaut DLC, will have to check the timestamp of the files, if necessary I will download them again (doesn't take long when you're at work using their bandwidth ;))

EDIT: Done! Re-downloaded, took about 5 minutes, doesn't take long when it downloads at about 4-5MB /s, thank you work. Muhahahaha! Will probably try messing with this tomorrow night when I'm off...
