Here at GOG.com, we're all about our users and the partners who decided to join the crazy ride into the DRM-free PC gaming. We stick with them through sickness and health, the good and the bad times. As you may have heard, JoWooD is having some tough times lately. Together with the publisher we've decided to give you a chance to get your hands on all the JoWooD titles you're eagerly wanting to buy, but maybe haven't yet. Well, now's your chance to grab those gems at a heckuva bargain!

In this special week-long promo we encourage everyone to get JoWood games with an up to 75% discount! The catalogue includes such gems from PC gaming's past like , [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/gothic_2_gold_edition]Gothic 2, , [url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/the_guild_gold_edition]The Guild and more. If you buy all games from JoWood's catalogue, or complete the collection, you'll receive a 75% discount! If you're interested only in some games from the offer, you can still get them for bargain with 60% off! The promo ends on Tuesday, May 3 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

Since you guys are all going to be asking: we don't know what the future holds for JoWooD. To be safe, though, we recommend that you download any JoWooD titles you've purchased--either from this promo or not--and archive a backup of the GOG installer, because it never hurts to be safe.
Incredible promo!
Bought everything I didn't yet owned.
Thanks.
Where's the downloader now when I need it? I wish Jowood well.

In a worst case scenario I hope that we'll still be able to DL Jowood titles after purchase if they are removed from the catalogue. Like some of the previous titles that have suffered that unfortunate fate. CMR 2005, TOCA 3 I'm looking at you.

Zchinque: It's a dilemma, it be.

tburger: Isn't it condom-like dilemma? Better buy them and don't need them than need them and don’t have them :-P
Thats only a dilemma if:
1) you know the person and they know you
2) Shes not on the pill ect
3) you dont pull out.

kalirion: Hmm, can anyone recommend Chaser and the two Dark Fall games? I have everything else from the promo which might interest me.

I am apprehensive about the "just in case, download and back up" message, as I have a pretty slow internet connection...
Curious to know what you would recommend @Kalirion from the promo list.

Chaser has about 50 levels, good length; but I thought the game was uninspiring to say the least. Some of the level design later was good, but I felt the shooting mechanics were lacking. No real connection if you know what I mean. Then again at $1.49 you can't really complain really, right? I haven't played the Dark Fall games so I won't comment about them.

Well, I'm using the downloader right now, so you're going to have to wait your turn! :D

As for catalog removal, CMR 2005 and TOCA 3 are racing games. Moto Racer 2 went down for having problems. Interstate '76 is still here, problematic as it is, but that's only because it's vehicular combat. I wouldn't worry too much. We should be safe, the beast seems to prefer racing games...
I haven't bought Gothic 2 because that's my freebie game choice for when Witcher 2 arrives. I don't think whatever is going on with JoWood will screw me over BEFORE may 17, right?

I'm giving some thought to the darkfall games now.
If I bought only one of the Dark Fall games (I'm really that broke right now but at this price I just have to get something and they've been in my wishlist since I registered anyway) which one should it be?
I went ahead and picked up Dark Fall Lights Out. I'll try to play it a bit to see if I like it. If I do, I might pick up the first Dark Fall game as well. Besides that, I already own the other games int this sale that I like, so I won't be getting anything else.

I hope JoWood finds a way out of their financial mess, but if not, let's at least hope that the games we own stay on GOG. Since I've gone over to the Digital side, I don't want to revert back to the hard copy side of games, and would rather not have to make hard copies of any of my games.

For me, Painkiller is definitely one of my top FPS titles of all time.

Haven't gotten around to playing Gothic 2 yet, but I loved the first game and hear that the sequel is even better.

Aquanox suffers from awful controls. No idea if the sequel is any better.

I'm not much of a strategy gamer, beyond the occasional HoMM or AoW, so can't comment on anything else form the promo.
Hmm, completing my collection of JoWood games (not that I were "collecting" them as such, more "hoarding GOGs for no real reason") apparently brought me up to 170 game covers on my shelf.
I'm not sure the possibility of some purchased game going off download after purchase is sitting well with me.

If copyright holders want to see their rights respected, they in turn need to support the rights of the buyer even in the event that the copyright changes hands.

I understand that its out of GOG's and JoWood's hands if they go under however and probably up to whoever would purchase the rights.
Ok, got 11 that were still missing so now the list is complete :) Now, I'm hoping wife won't see it or it will be "sleeping on the couch" scenario ;)
Sick promo. I just bought the whole crew.

Good luck to JoWood! Sorry they are having trouble.

Can't afford that. Not that I really like any of it except PAINKILLER!

Hmmm..Thanks for the info matey :) When you talk about games on the forums, I find I usually agree with you, so I was curious as to what you thought about this promo. Yeah, I got Painkiller too quite a while ago now. The controls were putting me off from purchasing Aquanox too. I was reading one of the reviews for it earlier today. It is a good promo, but there isn't much for me to get. I may just get Gothic 2, I do remember it being better than the first. Thanks for the reply @kalirion, don't want to waste money on ones I aren't too fussed about.
