Dude... Are you seriously "thinking" about this? The three games you are interested in come to $7.50

Don't super size your next few value meals :-)

Buy any game you think might be interesting at those prices...

Buy Painkiller too...

Fantasysci5: I tried a Gothic 2 demo, and I like the world, but MAN is combat tough! I died very easily. I think I'll get it, but I hope I can find lots of potions or not die so easily. :P
You will die a lot initially, and by a lot, I mean 80% of the time you choose to pick a fight with someone/something unless you know what you're doing. The Gothic 2 demo takes place in the first part of the game IIRC. You'll want to grab some decent armour first, maybe get a small weapon, before even thinking of taking on wolf cubs. It's definitely a very brutal game that punishes you for going deviant early on, so don't feel bad if you find yourself having to quicksave/quickload all the time.
Maybe you could watch a few Youtube videos of the gameplay. Granted, you may get the odd spoiler, but it should give you a very clear idea of whether or not you'd enjoy the game.
Gothic II is one of the best RPGs of the past decade, and you can't find a PC gaming forum without at least a few resident Gothic fanatics. I... don't really know what else to tell you, it seems like you're trying to talk yourself out of it.
Reading a few posts on this thread and I am thinking perhaps Spellforce is not for me, since I am not much of an RTS fan. I guess I should take it out of my wishlist.

Me neither, but I think the game is brilliant. When I first started playing I thought I'll uninstall it quickly, but the RPG part is just too good. It has an interesting, surprising story, you meet interesting characters along the way and your own development (skills/magic) is as good as in any RPG out there. And having your avatar backed up by a powerful army isn't bad :)

I didn't think I'll like the RTS and RPG mix, but I was wrong. I *do* recommend you try this title.

Well...

Now I want to buy it :-)

That made it sound pretty good to me.
Thanks for all of the posts!

And HoneyBakedHam-yes I am thinking about these titles instead of just buying them, because I'm a poor college student (sorry for the cliche) without a job, so every little bit of money that goes means a little less food, or something else. :P

I am trying to talk myself either in or out of the games, and now that tomba4 said Spellforce has a good story/characters, I'm debating it again. :P
Buy Spellforce!
Buy Chaser .

I thought they abolished supersize after the movie supersize me came out.

What about buying aquanox 1 and 2?

See, I'm not really interested in Painkiller, Chaser, or Aquanox. I don't like first-person shooters, and only sometimes do I like some action games. I love fantasy/medieval settings, which is why Gothic 2, Spellforce, and the Guild, appeal to me.

I've read reviews on both, and I haven't really heard that the stories/characters can intice me to play.
So... I've been debating over buying the whole pack... Since as I already had the Guild (theJoe can be very persuasive) it would only be $21 or so. Of course, the only ones that really interest me are Gothic 2 and Spellforce, which would be $8. I guess the question is, would I find enough unexpected gems in the rest of the games to make them as a package worth $13. Granted, I am not a fan of horror, but all the others seem like they would be worth a shot...
Well, I'm an adventure fan, and I loved the two Dark Fall games. They are puzzle games, however, but have a very nice atmosphere and are suitably spooky. I already own these two. ;)
Spooky and creepy are fine. Just not a huge fan of things jumping out at me unexpectedly. The more I think about it, if I even manage to find two games of the ones besides the ones I know I want, I would consider it a $13 well spent. So I will probably buy the whole pack and then download the games and all extra's over the next few days to an external HDD and make some DVD backups as well.
