ThermioN: I already own most of the games offered in the promo, but i'm kinda interested in Painkiller. Looks like a good FPS.

Navagon: Painkiller is at its core, a straightforward shooter. The game throws a lot of enemies at you, you blast them then proceed on to the next area. The bosses are ridiculously huge and there are no end of secrets scattered throughout the levels. Many see it as the true successor to Doom. It's great! But it's not the kind of game for people who like a good story.

I bought it retail when it was released, played the first levels, and uninstalled it. Couldn't play any more of it, it was too repetitive and too numbingly the same with the hoardes of enemies coming at you. Whic his strange since i enjoyed serious sam. :P

Typically, if you like Serious Sam you'll like Painkiller. The main difference is that Painkiller is horror themed. But I guess that's not true for everyone. Here's a demo.

JudasIscariot: You rang, sir?? :D

Nope, it was me, not El_Caz :-).
Do I still get the 30% off if the discount amount doesn't show up in my cart? It says I get -$1.00 to the cost for buying the hidden gem of the week, but nothing about the JoWood games.

Just to be sure, I advise you to purchase the Hidden Gem in one order, and then any games you wish from the promotion in an other. You may even do the latter with ease from the promo page.

That's right, I found out about that during the Interplay sale, two different discounts in one order doesn't work.

Interesting. Guess there are a few site bugs running around. :)
Thank you. I'll definitely split discount orders up, in that case.
I picked up The Guild and Gothic 2 last night.
Haven't had a chance to play them yet. Just put together a new PC today. :)

Yep, there's a reason GOG is still "beta" ;-).

Wise decision about the games!
And congrats on acquiring the new PC!

GOG.com: For most of us, gamers, the weather outside is getting worse and worse - not counting you, lucky Aussies :).

I don't think you guys understand how Australian Summer works.
Basically, it gets hot, and if we don't die from dehydration, our computers overheat, so we just kind of sit down with all the windows open getting stuck to coaches.
I love this sale: The Guild Gold is on the Top 10 list again :D!
Nimagraven, are you reading this?
Now is your chance to get the Guild w/o SpellForce, if you haven't done so yet!
Bah, I'm totally leaning towards "The Guild Gold Edition", since I always wanted to try out a city building game, but I'm worried I might stop playing five minutes later.
That's how it is with RTS games. I wanna try one, buy it and get owned by med AI... This is not an RTS afaik, and it looks pretty fun to play judging by the screens and all the people's opinions here, but still... Is it friendly to those new to the genre?
