When will the rest of the Journeyman Project games be available on GOG?
Welcome to GOG!

When and if the other journeyman project games come to GOG is dependant on who owns the rights to these games and is gog staff is successful in acquiring permissions to sell them here. All in all a very difficult task. Unfortunately, there's no alternative way of doing these things.
We already have The Journeyman Project 2 on GOG .

I haven't bought the second as I am waiting for the first... bummer.

Since the first title is a 16-bit game without a DOS version, I think it's unlikely that it will show up on GOG unless presto writes a new engine. In that case I hope they write a win32 version of Pegasus Prime, I've always wanted to play that. JMP3 had a few issues last time I played it on XP, it'll need some work as well.

Well they never wrote the engine for it to begin with, it was using Adobe (Macromedia at the time) Director so it should be possible to open/convert the scripts to run on the latest version.

The second one is self contained you can play it without any prior knowledge of the first one. It's the third one that is more directly linked to the evens of the first game.

Interesting... I suppose what GOG could do is get a trial version of an old enough version of Director that supports 16bit Win 3.1 files yet at the same time be new enough to be able to convert it to something more usable.

They would need to original scripts and the assets, AFAIK it's not possible to extract them (the scripts) from the "published" version.

EDIT: But as presto still exists and even recently released a new version of the game on Mac, I would guess they probably still have the scripts somewhere.

I think they know that, that's why they ask "When will the rest of the Journeyman Project games be available on GOG?".

Yeah, if a Mac version is possible then it should only be a matter of time before it winds up here too.
