A few months back I posted on Mechner's forum if he would be up letting GoG.com porting his works on newer game systems.
If you don't know Jordan Mechner, he was one of the very first Indie gamers on history. He released several PC titles, his most successful release still stays Prince of Persia, a really hard game where someone experienced realistic human movements for the first time on a game.
He is also the screenwriter of the GotY "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time" aswell as the same named movie(well, he wrote the original script).
Several titles are credited to him:
Prince of Persia Classic (2007), Ubisoft Entertainment SA
Between Heaven and Hell (2006), MadGames
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003), Ubisoft Entertainment SA
Prince of Persia 3D (1999), Mindscape International Ltd.
The Last Express (1997), Brderbund Software, Inc.
Prince of Persia CD Collection (1995), Brderbund Software, Inc.
4D Prince of Persia (1994),
Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow & The Flame (1993), Brderbund Software, Inc.
D/Generation (1991), Mindscape, Inc.
Prince of Persia (1989), Brderbund Software, Inc.
Karateka (1984), Brderbund Software, Inc.
He is still getting worshipped as a god by many fans of the later PoP titles.
Anyway, finally came an answer from him:
It's a good idea. Stay tuned.

Not bad. They would certainly be most welcome. Although some of the titles you list are console exclusives.

i need it
Good news, Tantrix.
I only care about Karateka up to Prince 3D, don't really care about the later ones from Ubi...
The last express is a game I often read about, but never touched it. The real time element of it is really appealing.

Warrior Within should still get GoG approval, just for the combat and the Dahaka chases.
Prince of Persia Classic is XBLA/PSN only.
Between Heaven and Hell is by another guy/studio.

Well, as much as the trilogy doesn't appeal to me... it would be good to have the three here just for the sake of being DRM-free.
Oh please yes! Prince of Persia and Last Express are two of my favorite all time games. More people need to be exposed to Last Express so that we can finally reach the consensus that it is the best adventure game ever made.

Yeah, I know. Many fans are really peeved that Ubisoft never ported it for the PC.
The Last Express is supposed to be about the most underrated game in history. PC Zone even re-reviewed it because they so sorely underestimated it the first time around. I still haven't played it and would like to see it here (with more PoP, naturally).
WUT?! There's even Lego sets released to promote the movie, I didn't knew about this.

I want the game of Lego Prince Of Persia
I have the POP CD Collection, but I would loooooove to get The Last Express.
Gog, Last Express plz. Anyone play those other games from the list=
namely, prince of persia 3d, dgeneration, and the other non-ubisoft prince of persias?
Mechner's a genius. POP1 was the first platformer I ever played. So many memories.
Good stuff Tantrix.
I would love to play the old Prince of Persia games again. I've also really wanted to play the Last Express for awhile, but haven't seen a copy anywhere.
