Lone Wolf is a very famous game book series, if that's what you're asking - you read a book and make your own choices where to go, what to do, whom do you fight - it's basically a book with numbered sections (usually a paragraph or two) that end with multiple choices, each leading to another numbered section.

This is a brand new story set in that world with a different combat and some other bonus stuff (like the lockpicking mini-game or whatever that thing from the screenshot is meant to be), as normally it has a dice combat system. I haven't played it but I plan on getting it eventually (I still haven't even gone through all the gamebooks, just the first six or four).

I played the android version, which is glitchy shit, so this is a strong case for try before you buy (Bulkypix is listed both on Steam and Google Play). The PC version is way too expensive, especially in light of the massive all-around sales. If you want something to play for $13, there are better ways to spend the money. If you want specifically Lone Wolf, download the books, they're free.
There is a app for android that have most of the classic books. Search for Lone Wolf Saga. I'm quite enjoying reading/playing them on my Galaxy cell phone. :)
I grew up on Lone Wolf gamebooks as a kid and have all the books from Kai to Grandmaster. This doesn't look like how Lone Wolf should be treated. It's on Android as well. I reckon you try the Lone Wolf Saga app on Android, that's the real way to relive the gamebooks.
Every time I see 'Joe Dever' I think of John Denver!
Also (probably) still free on Iphone: http://iphone.giveawayoftheday.com/joe-devers-lone-wolf-2/

But that's only the first act, which is also free on Android and the other three acts are unlockable there by paying for them or buying a pass for all of them, while you also have to buy the rest on iPhone, if the other acts are there.

Didn't try at the time, but I believe it was completely free in the first day or so. Anyways I posted mainly to inform about an Iphone version.

Oh alright. The iPhone version on the Appstore is completely the same as the Android version - they're both free and contain the first act, and you have to do an in-game purchase to buy the other three.

That's why the link you posted has the app for free now instead of two dollars, because that's what it cost on all platforms before the other acts came out and the first act became free.
iv played it. I really like it so far. It combines elements of choose-your-own-adventure, with turn based combat, and using your skills and powers for more than just combat.
