It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

This is a rare bug and has been fixed. We'll push it in a future update. All you can do for now if it occurs is to restart the downloader. Sorry for the trouble :)

timppu: A quick question: is this supposed to work also from corporate networks (behind proxies etc.)? I think the official GOG downloader doesn't, so at work (where I could download in the background with good speed as I work) my only option was to use the web browser downloads.
The new downloader uses normal http requests so it's rather your company's security policy that is preventing the downloader from working. You can of course run it and PM me the contents of the logger file.

If you are referring to the official (beta) GOG downloader where I asked the same: I tested it before, and it works ok from corporate network. The old, official, GOG downloader didn't work from behing a proxy.

I'm a bit confused though which downloader you are referring to, as this thread is apparently about one of the unoffical downloaders made by users? I haven't tested this unofficial JGOGDownloader yet.

Well you were referring to the "official downloader", that's why I wrote a comment. If the new downloader works fine for you, then I'm happy ;)

It's not a bad bug it's just annoying!

Well it only should happen when you loose Internet connection and our inside timer tries to refresh your status.

Does it happen to you often? Please PM me the reply, we don't want to off-topic here.
Hi,

First of all - thanks for providing an alternative to the official downloader - can't seem to get that one to work on any of the (so far) tested XP-boxes.

Now - downloaded the linux version (which is my primary OS nowadays anyway) and get it to start up, but I've been stuck on "Please wait while getting games list..." for about 10 minutes now.

Is there anything I can do to figure out why I'm stuck or possibly to get past this?

Running Linux Mint Debian Edition (Semi-rolling OS based on Testing) and the version I downloaded was the Java GUI-one.

Should I perhaps try the linux specific version as well?

Thanks in advance,
/gosa

Edit:
The CLI version won't even let me log in, saying "login failed".

Same thing happened to me several weeks ago. Using Ubuntu here.

Did you manage to get past it eventually, or what did you do about it?

I did not manage to solve it. I assume whatever changes GOG.com was doing during the redesign breaks it. I am just a regular user when it comes to Linux (or Java for that matter), so sadly I couldn't do anything. I guess we'll have to wait for WrathOfTheAngels to update it.

And you can count me as another one in that group.
Anyway - thanks for replying!

Yup, tried that one. Returns a "login failed" message.
I tried several times to make sure there were no typo's but still can't get past the "login failed" message.
