Could you please explain who giant.haxx.se (ip 80.67.6.50) is? That's the first connection established when I run your utility.

One of the first things that the downloader does is downloading a file (see here) that contains the certificates in PEM format and is used for SSL authentication.
Good to know. Thanks for explaining.
jGOG used to work, but now it crashes after reading my account information (getting file list). Could this be the last Java Update for OS X?

Oh, and would you mind adding an option to download the additional content (soundtrack, avatar, etc.), that GOG makes available for most downloads, too?
i have the same problem like amix.... jgog starts and after retrieving gamelist, it crashes...

Sorry for the waiting. Try to backup the file cookies.txt in the datas directory (for example renaming it in cookies.bkp) than restart the application and login again...
If the application still doesn't work try to contant Xenon (you can find him some posts ago), because he is the "responsable" for the mac application.

I'm not sure I understand the question: the application should already download the additional contents :s

I think I've the newest version (downloaded 2nd November) but after the loading to connect the account appears the application won't start. What could be the issue? New Java update or?

os?
A quick question: is this supposed to work also from corporate networks (behind proxies etc.)? I think the official GOG downloader doesn't, so at work (where I could download in the background with good speed as I work) my only option was to use the web browser downloads.

If you could download your gogs through the web browser, this should work too. let me know :)

WrathOfTheAngels: os?
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. The issue disappeared last time I asked but now it's back again.

Happened to me as well. I found that deleting the "datas" folder makes it work again.
Just found out about this, trying it out on my Win7 x64...
Thanks in advance for the work!

Is it still working? I haven't had time to try it after the updating of the gog.com
