Here is this thread for those of us who would like to list the various games that have been created in the hotbed of innovative software development: Eastern Europe (regular Europe is included because DLC sucks and not including Regular Europe would make for half a Europe)
Space Rangers 1+ 2 - Russia (1C Company)
The Witcher (DUH! :-) ) - Poland (CD-Projekt Red)
Uplink - (regular Europe) - England (Introversion)
King's Bounty: The Legend - Russia yet again (1C Company)
Anyone else care to add some hidden "Jewels of Eastern (and regular) Europe"?
hidden and dangerous - Illusion software - CZ
operation flashpoint - bohemia interactive - CZ
spellcross - cauldron - SK
original war - altar interactive - CZ
UFO: Aftermath - altar interactive - CZ
UFO: Aftershock - altar interactive - CZ
UFO: Afterlight - altar interactive - CZ
specific CZ game, quite a good dungeon, freeware from 2007 but I think there is no eng mutation
Gates of skeldal (brány skeldalu) - napoleon games
really old jewels
teen agent (agent mlíčňák) - someone from polland, my first game on PC :) awesome adventure
those are games I can remember now and are quite good
What are the UFO games like? I heard of them but I have never played them...
Teen Agent was developed by Metropolis Software and, if what I have read is true, the game itself was made freeware in 1999. I can't post any links because I am not sure of the claim that the game actually is freeware.

really good :) personaly I love them, maybe it is not X-COM itself, but it is still enjoyable experience, lots of equipement, lots of research, lots of aliens to kill, lots of soldiers to manage (and quite a good RPG element on their side)

Do the Brits really consider themselves a part of Europe now? I know I certainly don't. And never did. But then, I still write English for my nationality even if it does then get changed to "british" on my passport >_<.
I don't know about specific titles, but a lot of the really good casual games are developed in Europe.

Isn't England part of the EU now? If that is true, then they are European by association, in my opinion of course.... XD
IL2 Sturmovik was awesome & was made by irregular europeans (perhaps more fibre in their diet would help?)
King's Bounty: The Legend is one of the greatest games I've played ever. Seriously, my 2008 GOTY.
Also: STALKER - GSC Game World (Ukraine), Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines - Pyro Studios (Spain), Fantasy Wars - 1C (Russia), Silver - Infogrames UK (U.K.), Gothic series - Piranha Bytes (Germany)... there are really a lot of good games made in Europe

Germany is temporarily banhammered in my book because of Gothic 3 and the upcoming 4. I have to try their Drakensang game first XD.
settlers from bluebyte - germany
and Das schwarze auge series - germany

Oh well yeah, with Gothic series I mean Gothic 1 and 2. Third one is like... like... shit. Also, Drakensang is a very good RPG, the probem is that it's ruled by a system I've never used, which makes it more difficult to play.

More good games per month being made and sold in US would help....then I might actually change Regular Europe to Western ...but not until then!

I don't know. I certainly don't recall any referendum being held to ask citizens what they wanted. So if this were a move by Labour, I'll just reject it =) Any party that can waste millions on building a tent that no one wanted doesn't deserve to be taken seriously. IMO, of course.
Back in the days I tremendously enjoyed playing the game Reunion

It was developed by a Hungarian studio called Amnesty Design, now called Digital Reality.
These guys were also responsible for Imperium Galactica 1 and 2.
