The accuracy of the blaster riffle is much better in alternate attack :)

The "Imperial Repeater" is even worse. The whole game is engineered heavily towards getting you to use the lightsaber as often as possible. It's like how in Tron 2.0, the other weapons were neat, but ultimately novelties compared to the Identity Disc. The only other really useful weapon in that game was the Rod Primitive, for making stealth derezzes (and vamping a healthy portion of energy). Likewise, the Molecular Disruptor Rifle in JK2 is your other best friend next to the saber. Especially when every other enemy is a Rodian armed with one.

The Thermal Detonators are always fun, as always. The Merr-Sonn missile launcher, too. Even more fun is using Force Push on missiles launched at you. It works on blaster bolts, too, but not as efficient a use of Force energy.

I too liked dropping detonators on unsuspecting stormtroopers - the remote demolition packs we less useful I found, but fun on the occasion when they were useful (trigger the stormtrooper'a AI to come running at you around the corner or outside the door and blast them all ...).

For the E-11, use the secondary fire (or was it primary fire) i.e., the one that's slower. The E11 has crap detection. If you just fire away at full auto, you're going to run out of ammo real fast. You'll have better luck with guns once you get the Bowcaster.
The Bryar pistol works too. It's very accurate, and hits on the dot where you aim your crosshair at. A fully charged Bryar will take out a stormtrooper in one hit.
