This has no connection to above text but here are some pictures of original Gabriel Knight 1 art:

This instantly brought idea of GK 1 remake or remastered edition to my mind.
Look at how awesome they look, think about if you can play Gk1 which looks like that. There certainly is great difference between these and pixellated versions in game.
Speaking of JJ, did anyone else here also enjoy Gray Matter? I thought it was really nice, even though the plot was quite obvious early on.

Anyway it doesn't matter whether she's remaking GK1, working on a sequel, or just creating an entirely new IP altogether. I don't think there's a single one of her games that I didn't enjoy, and that includes GK3.
DAMMIT WE NEED A GK SEQUEL

Loved it. I thought the ending was rather weak, but the rest of it was excellent. She's still got it. And the music is just lovely, too.
I need to play Grey Matter. I brought it with me to Europe, might be time to get on it.
Grey Matter is quite good, the magic schtick is a bit contrived, but its a good game. Its well set up for a sequel too.

GABRIEL KNIGHT 4 NEED NOW WAAAAAAAAAGH!!!

Whoah... sorry, happens sometimes.
The best part of Grey Matter are the chapters in which you control Professor David Styles and you make research and discover about you past. That chapter is excelent, the other ones are not as good as this one.
the GK games could do with a remake along the lines of the Monkey Island and Broken Sword remakes.

and how about GK 2 as a point and click adventure like GK 1, instead of an FMV-based one?
Do i smell yet another Kickstarter coming up?

This is blasphemy. GK1, 2, and 3 are fine as they are. A GK1 upgrade wouldn't be a bad idea, but GK1 stands well in its current state.

I'll not get my hopes up for a GK4. I believe Jane never acquired the rights from Sierra/Vivendi/Activision. GK is gone.

It could be a Gray Matter sequel or a new casual game with some darker themes.
Surprised to see such support for GK3, I stopped at #2 for some bizarre reason. I think I filed the third game into my mental -adventure games series trying to switch genre- pile after reading a review. I may need to pick it up.

I hated the Broken Sword remakes, the art style was ugly and comical.
Something is really happening:
