Oh, dear. I haven't watched the video yesterday; it's pretty awful.

"Adventure games with twisted plotlines, off-the-wall subject matter, games with the depth of a novel. And not some crappy B-treat, either, but a serious novel, like The Da Vinci Code. Well, she's not that good."

This had me facepalming so hard.

H2IWclassic: Is Jane the female version of MCA or something? I'll admit I missed the GK series the first time around, so I'm not sure what the fuss is about.
Go ahead and try the games, then. Jane really is a terrific adventure game writer; the games themselves tend to be somewhat clumsy, but her characters and plots are excellent.

That was a genuine "not sure if serious" moment. Actually, thinking about it now, I'm still not sure.
Include a video series with that daughter of hers as part of the rewards and I'm sold. :)

That was meant as a joke, surely. And I thought it was quite funny too. "Well, she's not THAT good" at least made me laugh.

I must say this is one compelling kickstarter.

With the influx of adventure game-related kickstarters I only hope there will be backers left for Tex Murphy too when it finally goes live.
What do you think about this projects possibilities if it is presented on Shark Tank TV-program?

Well, I sure hope it was meant as a joke - and by joke I'm refering to D. Brown and The Da Vinci Code being a serious novel.

I don't think Tex Murphy has to fear anything, they wisely decided to wait till mid May. Besides, I don't see that much of an influx of adventure games, more the case of rpgs.

"And yes, the Dan Brown reference is a bit tongue-in-cheek! Sorry about that. ;-)"

Raleigh Holmes is kinda cute. :D

lowyhong: Who?
The young lady in the video, Raleigh, is Janes stepdaughter.
I figured the Da Vinci Code reference was a pretty obvious joke about the similarities with Gabriel Knight 3: Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned. So much awesome old school gaming related stuff happening recently, what a bad time to be between jobs (not that I could afford to pledge to every Kickstarter I find interesting with what I was making before anyway, but...).

Raleigh, I think I'm in love.

Ah, Raleigh Holmes. I've been following The Scarlet Furies on Facebook for some time now, thanks to Gray Matter. I think she has great vocals. It'll be awesome if she's featured just as prominently in Jane's upcoming games.

Sad to see this failing 'cause it's Jane fucking Jensen but on the other hand this kickstarter is lame, to be honest.

44 days to go, about 17% funded so far, and it's failing, because it's "lame"?

The idea is amazing. It doesn't have Double Fine funding because people are tapped out from that, Wasteland, and other big projects.

The negativity of some people...
