And I feel empty inside. (One of?) the greatest show(s) ever made. So real, so deep..
With characters like Avon Barksdale, Stringer Bell, Omar little, Bunk, Lester, D'angelo, Bubbles, Snoop.. So many memorable quotes.

I'm gonna miss that show pretty bad.. Have anyone here watched it? What do you think about it? Would you care for sharing some memories?
I just started watching it and I'm only about four shows into Season 2, but I'm totally engrossed in it and enjoying every minute.

If it continues to build as it has so far, it's going to be epic in the later series.
Some people haven't watched it???

Season 3, Omar and Brother encounter. The best

Season 2: Mcnulty's drunk drive - brilliant.

Season 1,2,3,4,5 - the best series ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZ2iGYwdEi8
The Wire is the best thing that has ever graced the screen of Television.

They should show that in (US) schools!

Now you have to watch "Generation Kill", trust me.

I started watching Warehouse 13 which started off strong in the first two episodes and took some rather insane digressions into "who the fuck cares?" and "where the fuck did this shit come from?" really early on. Is The Wire better?
The Wire is among greatest shows ever. Great writting and chracters. People may not like voilence and foul language but it makes the show mor realistic. It depicts Baltimore with different seasons being about different stuff like election or school system.

WHAT? Dude, you will love that show. It touches the core problems of modern America in a brilliant way that I have never seen in entertainment before. Be it the decline of the "Working American" your school and political system, urban decay and developer games. That show is unbelievable.

And this might help those who miss Lt. Daniels:

I'll love Warehouse 13 or The Wire? Sorry, I wasn't sure which one. I could use loving something. Will it love me back, though? I could seriously use a hug:)

I lost you? Have you seen The Wire or not?

Here, have a glimpse (Spoiler free)

And yes, it will love you back. It will make you care .

Orcish, I may only know you from forum posts, but you seem like a person who would really enjoy The Wire.

That being said, it's pretty easy to tell if a person will enjoy The Wire. Q: Do they exist? If so they will like it.

But seriously, very deep and very awesome TV series, and undoubtedly worth getting into. I was a doubter, but I just finished season 1 last night and I regret taking this long to try it. Beats the shit out of any police procedural I've ever seen.

Daniels is in the first 2 series of Fringe too.

That guy's tirade was awesome. I'm going to have to watch it if they can come up with stuff like that.

I thought that was a cheap X-Files knockoff? I only saw the british tv teaser when it premiered (I was in Ireland that time).

Have you seen Luther? That also on my list. I nearly fell of my chair when I discovered Stringer Bell was british!

Me too on the Stringer Bell front. Welsh at that.

Fringe is worth watching. Don't take it seriously, and don't attempt to apply any real science, then it's good fun.

haha, foul language is the best :P I remember a scene from first season when McNulty and Bunk were investigating a crime scene, and for about 5 minutes, all words they said were "fuck", "fuck me" or "fuckitty fuck" - hilarious ;)

The Wire is the best show I've ever seen. None of them showed police work so realistic. The writers were not afraid of killing the main characters, changing the plot and the seasons focused on different aspects of drug war in Baltimore. Part of the cast was actually criminals.

Did you know that Snoop was indeed a felon? She was convicted for a murder when she was 14 years old. And she was also convicted for drug dealing two years after The Wire finished.

My second best show is of course The Sopranos, but I think The Wire is even better than this.

Now I am going to watch Oz maybe, but thank you SimonG for your recommendation.
