I'm actually a bit surprised that with the scamming going on for this long, the scamming methods/ techniques exposed and all the advice/ preventive steps publicly offered on this forum that people still manage to get scammed.

Maybe adding some sort of guide (along with the other relative threads) in the Community Stickies would help?

For the last time, I am not a lawyer. I am fully qualified as a lawyer(or judge) but I'm going to sell me off that cheap ;-P.

And awyers are, and I quote:

Hold it, so to be a lawyer you have to be both respectful and trustworthy? I thought not being trustworthy was what made one a lawyer O_o

P.S. Joking aside, I haven't had that many interactions with lawyers, though all of the people I know with legal training who are not lawyers are respectful and trustworthy (to me at least). No offense meant, just bored out of my head atm, thus poking some fun.

Generally you want your attorney to lie cheat and steal from the opposing party as much as possible and for their attorney to be as ethical as possible. You don't get to choose the opposing attorney.
