God knows I'm not perfect and my first language is not English so I make my share of spelling (barrister instead of barista recently) and grammar mistakes even when I know better, but I was just reading a thread here and it seems that some people do not care. Why would anyone consistently use ROUGE instead of ROGUE when it is spelled correctly by almost everyone in the thread?

In the same spirit:
The head of a school is a PRINCIPAL not a PRINCIPLE.
The male first name ARTHUR is not spelled AUTHOR.

Please add your spelling pet peeves and be free to correct any errors in my posts.
I try not to let stuff like that bother me, but sometimes I do get confused by those sorts of mistakes.
What do you have against makeup? A little bit of a nice rouge make me feel more.... sensuous....

That's nothing! Blizzard somehow managed to mix up Arthur and its German version Artus and accidentally named a character Arthas! How moronic is that?! And those idiots actually released the game before noticing it and now pretend that it was intentional!

It's spelled Grammar Nazi.

I'm so sorry.

I'm terrible when it comes to spelling, when I see a mistake my OCD goes AAAAAAAAAAA - and yes, I make a lot of them myself, but I don't see those so it's all good :-P

I'm an arthur who wears rogue on principal.
To be perfectly honest I'm rather anal (heeheehee) about my grammar (including spelling) when writing in a formal setting, official setting, etc etc but online I could really don't care that much, nor do I care about other people's grammar, assuming I can decipher what they're trying to say.

no that fine, its the way its done.
How you guys can learn more than one language and still spell it correct is amazing to me.
I can remember the teacher at school making me spell all mistakes 10 times and then 20 times and then giving up.

I'd say quite often spelling mistakes on the internet are the result of not checking spell-correct, rather than not knowing how to spell. Autocorrect and the like change things, and I'm in a hurry, so I don't carefully read everything I just wrote - all the more if I am on mobile.

So, cool it, and don't go all caps on people.
Also, it's MOUSE not MOOSE. This is important, because a moose wouldn't fit on my desk.
