While I joined the site back in the fall of 2011, I didn't actively get involved in the forums until (according to my records) one year ago today. So in honor of this epic milestone, here's a small giveaway:

EDIT: Oh, wait, I recall a year in which I managed (don't ask me how) to entirely forget the following day was to be my B-Day, so the first notice I got was when I turned on the cellphone after work and saw a score of SMS and lost calls from friends. :D

I've been buying from GOG since March of 2010, but I didn't venture into the forums here until the recent Pot of Gold promo! I've been pleasantly surprised by how nice (and generous! ) everyone is... I've yet to see a troll! That's really something considering the size of the community!

I'm in and here is my story.

When I was a kid, I believe this was during primary school, I was playing around with a football (Australian football no soccer balls :) ) on the school oval. I wasn't much of an athlete, so most my kicks were bad (ball went all over the place). At one point I kicked the ball so hard that it disappeared all of a sudden. I quickly turned around in circles trying to see where the ball had gone. About the a minute later the ball dropped directly on my head so hard that I fell down and was knocked out. I had apparently kicked the ball straight up above me, without it going forwards :).

I just saw a deer punch another deer. Some deer appeared while I was sitting on my lazy butt thinking about how absolutely inactive I've been today, and the deer didn't seem to mind me being a few meters away from them. Anyway, one of the deer started going around in a small circle, and another deer walked up to it, waited for the hyper one to stop, then raised one of its front legs and punched the other deer in the face. It made me laugh and scared some of the deer away, but those ones stayed for a few minutes, and I think the one that got punched was pouting (kept its back towards the puncher for the whole time). When those two left, the started by running/bouncing 10 meters in one direction, then did a 180 and ran away in the opposite direction.
I worry for the local deer.
