It's ironic how The Witcher only has 97 votes on the GOG wishlist...:P
99!
More votes!! Stuff the ballots people!!
the witcher actually has unusually high system requirements... i don't really recommend it for GOG.com.

I'd like to add that it has unusually low system requirements for a game built on the Aurora engine. Even if they went from "quite horrible" to "fairly decent", they did an admirable job. Hopefully they'll have enough cash/time to have a better engine underneath the inevitable sequel.

well, er, I haven't read the system requirements, but I have a fairly higher end system, and my fps drops fairly low.. when in other games like l4d, ut3, or cod4, no issues are found..

Yes, all I'm saying is that what the Witcher manages to bring out of the Aurora engine is still pretty decent performance compared to NWN2, for instance.
The Witcher is a GREAT game, but it's not old, is it ;-)!

It seems that gamers with similar hardware have sometimes very different results playing the game. When I bought the first release it was working quite decently on my rig, whereas now, when I added RAM and upgraded my video card the Witcher EE is suddenly working slower... Nevertheless I'm determined to find the reason why, and I have a strong feeling that it must be a small and otherwise insignificant system setting responsible for this. I can still remember the first NWN and the ugly water rendering (and game performance when around water) on Ati cards. One small switch in-game and suddenly game gains a 500% speed boost, not to mention nice-looking water ;)

Actually I can play NWN2 on high settings in my native resolution (1680x1050) without any hiccups. A thing quite impossible with my copy of the Witcher EE at the moment.
With EE version sitting on my shelf, there is no need for it to be on GOG. : )
Not yet anyway.

Yup. Although I would be more than willing to buy it for the third time :)
The Witcher is one of my favorite RPGs. I still play it frequently, but I do think it is too "new" to be part of GoG.

NWN2 actually uses Electron. Aurora was used in the first Neverwinter Nights. Electron might be based on Aurora, though, I don't know.
