To celebrate... uh... this week, with it's exciting releases of Commandos Ammo Pack and the Red Baron Pack, the DotEmu promo and the Arx Fatalis Hidden Gem, we'll be giving away some games today! There are three ways to win:
1. Post in this thread with your all-time favorite flight sim (on GOG or not)! Everyone who posts is entered to win one of 2 games.
2. Starting at 10am Pacific / 5pm GMT and going for one hour, we'll be holding a giveaway on Twitter (http://twitter.com/gogcom) for another 2 games.
3. Go to the Facebook page (http://facebook.com/gogcom) and respond in the contest thread there. Another 2 games up for grabs. That one will go until 3pm Pacific / 10pm GMT.
Good luck!
This is an easy one: IL2 Sturmovik, and it's even on GoG!
F-22 Lightning
I used to love and play gunship 2000 to the point that the 5 1/4 floppies that I had it on died. Microprose replaced that game for me twice!
Favorite flightsim: that would be crimson skies :)
European Air War! - one of the best designed and engrossing air games every made....
Freespace 2 I suppose.
Wing Commander 2, by far. Ok so not so far in front of Freespace 2. :)
Ace combat would be my favourite even if it isn;t as realistic of a flight sim
I'm not sure, but does H.A.W.X. count?
I probably spent more time in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004, but IL-2 Sturmovik gets my vote. Love the damage modeling =D
I mentioned in another thread, Airfix Dogfighter is insanely fun.
More of a kid-imagination-sim but a flight-sim nonetheless.
It's got to be one of 3. Original X-Wing, Aces of the Pacific, or... the original Red Baron. My dad and brothers and I logged a lot of time in the skies of World War I. We even checked out library books to learn all about the aces and events of aerial combat of that era.
There's a great hardcover book by Time on that subject, if you ever come across it. Glad to see RB making it to GoG!
Chuck Yeager Air Combat. ^_^
A-10 Cuba! is my flying obsession.
If only it would play on a 64-bit system!
