A spiritual successor to Ultima it seems :)

Probably a new free-to-play Ultima branded majiggery.

If it's an actual full blown RPG I'd be pretty amazed and defiantly interested...but then again EA have noticed Skyrim's success...

I thought they were copying Skyrim with Dragon Age 3? Than again why would EA make a new Ultima when they have Dragon Age.

Anyway this appears to be Richard's own work.

Dunno EA is pretty strange sometimes, maybe EA thinks Bioware isn't popular enough after Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2?

Wait, EA isn't involved at all with Lord British's new game?

Does Lord British have rights to Ultima or does EA?

I don't really know judging from the article and I don't even know if it is an Ultima game look this is his site:

What is a majiggery? Cool sounding word though. Hey majiggery, stop being jiggly. Oh really, my name is Billy!
EA owns the right for Ultima. If they wish they could produce another Ultima...but why with
the very eccentric Garriot? Maybe he has bought back the rights??
He's teaming up with John Romero to make an RPG-FPS hybrid that allows you to go back and forth in time.

It'll be called... Ultikatana.
Ultima Forever? I thought that was on the horizon but perhaps it is something more interesting.

Richard Garriott owns "Lord British" but sold "Ultima". This is by Portalarium, Garriott's current company and couldn't be an Ultima game, but it can be a Lord British game...

(Unless I'm mistaken, of course.)

So a new ip...interesting...
Side note - anybody remember the huge deal it was when someone killed Richard Garriott in Ultima Online?

"What Ultima IX should have been. Except not really. But still better than Ultima IX." - Random praise of the front of the box.

"I can't leave without my buddy Iolo". - The most memorable line in Ultikatana

You know, that might actually work in Ultima's universe. But would Hiro really hold onto to a lame relic like the Daikatana when he could wield the Hoe of Destruction? Hmmm...

LOL. How appropriate. Iolo is infamous for shooting arrows in the avatar's butt.

Tabula Rasa 2 no doubt.
