I dont see why people pledge for it. heck even the prototype look like someone threw something together in 2min in unity.
Do we know anything about the game except that it is done by him and that it will have EVERYTHING including microtransactions and taxes?

Well, it's made by one of the greatest game designers in our industry. However, I do agree that they might have better prepared themselves with their first prototype. I'm sure the graphics shown will not be the be on release. One other thing, back in the old days, anything that was released by Origin (not to be confused by EA's Origin) pushed almost everyones computer to the melting point. Honestly, I already like what I'm seeing here.

I sadly dont see it. What is making you so interested in the game except that he is making it?
To be fair, he's showing a lot more of the game than the other high-profile designers who have pitched on Kickstarter have.

Sadly, I guess I do not have a better reason. I know that sound daff, but that's really is the honest truth. I've played most of the games that he has had a direct hand in, and I've yet to be disapointed. I'm hoping that he hasn't lost his touch.
Maybe... I dont have high hopes for the game. I cant take it that serious when the comment is "it will have everything" games like that tend to mostly not work out in the end.

Also he already have 7 million $ from other investors in the project. So he is "kickstarting" it to get the game out faster?

Sogi-Ya: hunh? It's not ever going to be DRM free since it is an Online game .... your statement makes no sense at all because your basically saying "I'm gonna wait because they haven't clearly explained this whale's rock climbing skills."
It was mentioned multiple times, by them, that it is also playable fully offline.
I still don't get how the limited housing, taxes and mmo elements fit into that singleplayer stuff, as I've understood they apply in the single game as well

I am not very sure they even know it themselves, it seems rather nebulous...
That's pretty big red flag, if they themselves aren't sure how those elements work. This could end up as a disaster.

McDon: Lord British makes a new type of game-sandbox MMO gameplay that can be played single-player-
Do not want.

If I want to play a single player MMO I'll boot up Morrowind.
Amazing, he has only 3 out of 10 10K pledges available. Funding @ 651,485

That's a great question. The only thing I do not like about this Kickstarter project is to actually own a ingame house you have to plop down a minimum of $500. I still trying to find a way to come up with the funds for the minimum pledge. I guess I'm finally going to be homeless.

Apparently other players set up NPCs and stuff in their towns for when people go offline i think? But as someone said before, it's so easy to abuse the game when offline.
